No excuse for racial abuse. Online or by 200-300 in a stadium. But online is an isolated and in the UK investigated. It appears in Italy racial abuse is much more common and an accepted problem. The ones in the ground here have been charged and punished. In the Mois Kean case in Italy the officials aimed the blame at the player.
Now Lukaku is the focus, can’t be a good place for a non white player to go.

Apparently, according to Pep, City didn't have the money and can't afford to spend like the other clubsManchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has had surgery on his right knee in Barcelona after being carried off in the 4-0 win over Brighton.
Laporte damaged his cartilage and lateral meniscus in a challenge with Brighton defender Adam Webster.
The operation was successful but City have not yet given an indication of how long the 25-year-old will be out.
Laporte made 35 league appearances last season with Bernardo Silva the only City outfield player to play more.
The injury ruled him out of a possible debut for France after he had been called up by coach Didier Deschamps for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Albania and Andorra.
Laporte's absence leaves City with just Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones as central defenders following the departure of Vincent Kompany to become player-manager of Anderlecht in the summer.
He genuinely said that.

Carragher hits out at Liverpool fans in Owen defence
Jamie Carragher has hit out at Liverpool fans for their treatment of Michael Owen ahead of the release of his former team-mate’s autobiography.
The duo are close friends after their time at Anfield, but Owen’s relationship with Liverpool fans has never recovered after leaving the club, joining Newcastle United rather than force a Reds return and later signing for Manchester United.

Carra is Owen's mate so I understand his loyalty to Owen. However to expect the same form the fans is naive.
He ran down his contract to a position where the club had to sell or risk losing him for nothing, so we were only able to get less than half the price we should have at a time when he probably the best striker in the world.
He then picked Newcastle over Liverpool as they were offering a higher wage, despite the fact his entire time at Real was plagued by injuries and probably didn't deserve such a wage as he was a high risk.
Worst insult was to then go to Man U just so he could have a PL medal.
Frankly Owen showed little respect to the fans during his career, he's not going to get it now just because he talks favourably during media work.
I will appreciate what he did while playing for the club but beyond that its hard to offer anything else.
He'll never be a club legend.
Whoa, that's not how I remember it. Yes, like Macca, he ran down his contract (and like Gerrard was contemplating too in 2004, if truth be told). But he was begging to come back to Liverpool in 2005: it was Rafa, rightly, who wouldn't pay double for him that we'd sold him for a year earlier. and who vetoed any deal for Owen. And we bought Crouch instead that summer, as I remember. But Rafa was bob-on about Owen. And the only reason Newcastle offered him so much was that he was reluctant to leave Madrid for anyone else but us, but Madrid were quids in and Newcastle had to make it worth while.
It was always a ****e deal for the Maggies, and it's them that should hate him. But we've been screwed over for 15 years in every deal we've done with Madrid and Barca, until we got a king's ransom for Ford. They pay you on the never-never as well.
