So Davies just lost a foot race with Sterling despite having a 20-yard head start.

Lack of pace throughout the side is a major, major concern.

I'm not sure what we're doing now. Looks like 3 at the back with Davies at CB and GKN at LWB. Not convinced...
 
To be fair if we're going to try odd combinations of players, better to do it here. Friendlies are learning processes after all. We've still got the Juve game to get the first XI playing together again.

This pulls the rug out from underneath our only argument against transfer activity...the belief that we are the most 'settled' team in the league.

Bottom line is, they don't look arsed for the game, no midfield presence without Wanyama and no pace whatsoever.

Aguero hits the post again.
