The defence looks all over the place and there's no protection from the midfield.
City are taking the piss with their physical challenges and we've got no answer to it.

Frustrating first 45. Feels like we set out to try a different team setup against good opposition but it clearly isn't working. Defence are getting in each others way all the time and the midfield don't seem to know where and what they should be doing.
One or two changes in personnel and formation and we should be more competitive second half.

Not great but we had our moments. Ditch the 433 and get Alli in behind Kane. Give that Georgiou chap a run in the second half down the left.

They couldn't compete with us last season so they bought a better team. It's they way of the world. No matter how much we improve our finances with new stadium etc, we still won't be able to compete financially with a team that isn't bound by normal accounting. If they don't overtake us this season it will happen one day. Meanwhile the pundits will rave about how great a manager Pep is, give us no credit for nearly competing with all this cash, and all the kids will start supporting the most successful (richest) teams and there you have it. Football as we know it is dead.
