... and another great turnout, plenty of good pubs to be fair.

We also seem to have good support down there and there's been some great matches.

One of my favourites was the 3-0 victory when we'd gone there so Norwich could relegate us and save themselves ...

... it was the match when Chris Sutton confirmed, beyond all reasonable doubt, that he was an absolute bellend <laugh>

Great day out and drunk as a skunk on the train home.

This was another when we were supposed to be lambs to the slaughter iirc.

Another awayday with an offer of tickets in a Norwich box. Have a ticket in our end as well if needed. If I do the box and free bar it is a rubbish train journey back. Some good characters in the box though. Decisions decisions.

Not going myself but a few of the lads are. Could really do with another surprise result down there, similar to last season…

If I can't make an away match I always like it if someone I know is going, especially if I've helped with tickets.

Just sorted two for Norwich for a couple of lads in King's Lynn

I've also just had the pleasure of sorting out two Southampton tickets for an old mate, Keith Laing, who's now on the Isle of Wight.

Forty years ago he was one of my regulars on the coach I ran from Mansfield. We both moved around, over the years, and only got in touch after a mutual mate called to tell me he's having medical issues. In those days we had no internet or mobiles, not many had phones, so arranging the next match wasn't always easy ... but Keith would be standing on his pick up spot week after week without fail.

Great days even though Sunderland weren't often too great.
