The only time I remember trouble with Millwall at Roker was when a Darlo mob turned up around 86 or 87. They came in as a mob to get close to the Millwall who were in the little scoreboard bit as the Roker had been cut down in size at that point. They started getting arsey with the Sunderland chanters and the scrapping started. They were turfed out. Favourite memory was one bloke who I still see at the matches got his nickname of the poem that day. His mate asked him if he was joining in. He said not until he finished his pie. Finished his pie and then all 6ft 6in of him entered the fray. Carnage thereafter. Anyhow, as a foot note. There couldn’t have been more than 100-150 Millwall who did nowt, but did stab two Newcastle fans at a service station on their return from their away game, so glad they didn’t get involved.

<laugh> Brilliant!

We had to be on our guard going home to Mansfield after games. We'd stop off at somewhere like Wetherby for fish&chips, or a pint, and there'd be groups of whoever we'd played. Then there'd be Mags or Boro returning from their matches so it was often worse than an away game.

It's worth noting that there are two games before we take the pitch at Millwall ...

  • Bristol City v Burnley
  • Coventry City v Sheffield United
Then, on Sunday, Leeds are away to Swansea.

... none of the away teams have easy games.
Just another massive weekend in our season

I’d be over the moon to come out of the weekend still in the top 2.

Just had a message to say Mundle could be on the bench down there ...

... my first thought was 4/6 weeks when he went down against Coventry.

I really hope we're not going back to the days of risking players.
That aside, it is great news regarding Mundle if true. I thought it would be 3 weeks out minimum.

The bookies have Millwall favourites but 3000 of us down there will be fired right up after another international break. Hopefully the lads respond. Get me on that train early doors Saturday <cheers>

Latest clips the club put out (asking them their biggest fears) he’s walking round fine but they could have been filmed weeks ago for all we know

Minor hamstring injuries can be 2-3 weeks. They’ve obviously got top end physios and rehab so with the 2 week break it’s very possible.

hopefully when he runs again it doesn’t go in the mean time.

I'm still trying to work out what the team will be given the suspensions and injuries
Hopefully Alese and Mayenda are ready to start, maybe Aleksic has picked up a bit more English

Don’t mind that team at all given the circumstances, need to be solid at the back and clinical when we get chances there, expecting another game like Luton

Interested to see if Ba and Aouchiche are involved with the u21s tonight. If they aren't I suspect they will feature on Saturday.
If they prove they’re going to work hard enough and care enough. Yeah.

if not I’d rather a hungry youngster on the bench. Attitude is very important

Imagine they’ve probably been working hard to get aleksic ready, did he go away with Serbia U21?
