Sad message from one of my lads who used to post on here. "Too much of a time drain, too many keyboard warriors, too little football chat, not as insightful as LFW." One suggestion is that there are a fair few on here who can write a good post match report - 9s, Beth and Col are three that spring to my mind but I'm sure there are others too. Would it help if one person who was going to attend the match was nominated to write up the 'official' not606 report from whence more discussion would flow. We always post Clive's reports on here so why not have one of our own? I realise it's a big ask and yet another thing to administrate. Just a suggestion.
It’s different to LFW, that’s the point. It’s quite alright to like one more than the other. I prefer this one precisely because it’s not just about QPR. And we have some personalities.
Very true. It's blindingly obvious though, that many posters have left or hardly post due to the ****e posted by some "personalities".
Thank you RTID for the shout out. I am very honoured to be amongst such company I must also say my view of the match is from much less understanding than most others who write on here. I have never really played football to the level that most of you lot have....But I have watched football for 55 years and tried to understand what is going on.. That also gives me a slightly different view, which would not be "pure" enough for LFW....that I hope is what you get on here...is a collection of different views of the same match ...all (well mostly all) equally valid On LFW you get two or three skilled writers, and what Clive and Antii say is much more gospel than here..Here you get enthusiasts and people with slightly off kilter but interesting views...and long may it reign. I will continue to write, as it interests me to put my ideas down...and see if they hold water with people who actually know about how to play the game. I learn a lot from you lot...THANK YOU Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Personally I've no problem with people posting crap. It's the inter-personal bitching that I don't like but not enough to stop me participating on this forum. Easy enough to ignore.
Not sure I understand what you're asking you might have got wrong but the answer is 'no' anyway! I enjoy the footie chat, some of the off topic stuff and tend to avoid the more contentious issues. If I do get involved at all in the latter, I try and bring a balanced view and not be too entrenched. I can't recall ever getting into a 'keyboard warrior' moment with anyone since my preference is to treat people on here with the respect I would if I met them in person (as indeed when I met you). The other issue for me personally is that I sometimes find it hard to determine if someone is being serious, sarcastic, humourous, rude etc just from what they've written (see first sentence of this post for example)! Don't mind admitting it either. Twitter does my head in for that specific reason!! Hope that is clear.
Don't tell him that, Beth. He won't be able to get his head thru the forum doors. We'll need UTR's to bring him back down to earth.
Whether people like it or not, I know for a fact that a good few posters have either stopped posting or post a lot less because of some of the crap that certain "personalities" have put on here over the last few months. Anyway. . .whatever!
