We have talked about attracting more people to the site ... how do members here feel about sponsoring a player next season? We could all chip in to pay and we would get regular exposure in the programme which might attract people to check us out. I think it would be good to sponsor a young new player. Thoughts? Anyone interested? For their hard work our Moderators could attend on our behalf when required/able to.
DT / LJ (I think that’s who he is) has probably exiled himself to France for a while. I do like the idea of sponsoring a player to get a few more members - maybe sponsor the left boot of a right footed player? That seems to be our forum’s style! (Not that I’d change it!)
His internet connection in France has probably failed like it did every day I was out there last week.
Paul (DT) is alive & well, but just busy. He thinks he may have been banned again, but can’t remember. I will no longer have a bad word said about him as he did a fantastic bit of free design work for me for my new business. Top bloke.
I've not posted as much as I used to, thoroughly enjoy reading the threads and people's perspectives on all things QPR however. Quite like the fact that the board wants to embrace new members, it can be quite difficult as a new poster to integrate into the board, where the long standing members posts are perhaps more acknowledged than the newbies (if discussing the same topic for example) but hopefully that doesn't put people off as everyone has to start somewhere.
A big drop off in posters from Ireland? Corker, kingdomhoop, belfasthoop, nuts, finglas, swords. Any others from Ireland missing?
August 2015 was my last post here....well it was my last 'liked' post anyway. I wasn't prolific on here, posted a little artwork, commented on some matches, tried to ignore the increasingly silly arguments that would often start up. Might make a return for the upcoming season though, I may need a place to release what might be another frustrating season.
Yeah it was George Bernard Shaw. I wanted to portray intelligence and wit to an unsuspecting audience. Given it the boot now in exchange for some of my artwork...although a little small to see it.
