That fat **** Moose from Talksport says he is the North East today in discussion with the club. A few mentions of him being spotted in Newcastle on twitter but doesn't seem like the usual bullshit. Maybe we can get this one over the line

Interesting.

Aulas is holding out on Remy because he thinks we have no options but Gomis.

If we get Remy on loan, we can probably live without Gomis. If we can live without Gomis, then his price will come down and we'll probably get him as well.

Hope this is true. Remy is the best of the names we have been linked with since Aubameyang went elsewhere. It also makes sense to get this deal done first as if we can get him in it will put us in a far stronger negotiating position for Gomis (or any other striker). Lyon will know that we are no longer so desperate and their hopes of holding us to ransom will be knocked on the head.

I wouldn't be too concerned by what The Moose says mind.

His 'sources' tend to involve typing 'Loic Remy' in the Twitter searchbox.

Mate normally I never listen to the Moose but its backed up by other sources this time. At this moment I just want a capable striker and for us not to need a load of ****e in Shola anymore.

Remy is a quality striker, far superior to Gomis, but aren't you a little concerned that he knocked you back, a far greater club in every single aspect, for QPR in the first place.

I suppose in this day of mercenary footballers it's to be expected, and the lad is genuinely a very, very good footballer.

Sort of answered my own question there, off back to our board to discuss pies a bit more then <ok>

hahaha... him? Another carrier bag-yielding desperado who hangs about the training ground.... he's as full of it as Colin.

In truth, I'd say NONE of those twitter accounts have the slightest idea what is going on... Maybe he got lucky in January by being at the training ground that week loads of French players started turning up?

What about Granero Jack? you expecting him to be moved on? I know it never really worked out at your lot but he looked good at Real and more so Getafe. I just wonder whether he might be an option for us given a likely vastly reduced fee, and our obvious need for a number 10. decent with a dead ball too.

He's in the frame for a loan move to you, the only stumbling block is he's in court in September for Indecently assaulting a young lady in his flat, so if he stays out of prison, you will have a top finisher.

Always up for a gamble is our Mike

I didn't realise until just now that Remy hasn't actually been charged with anything.

He was arrested and given police bail until September. That means he has to show up at a police station in September when the police will either charge him, extend the bail or do neither.

This doesn't make it look like the police have a lot of confidence in the case. Even if they do charge him in September, a trial would be some months away. Less awful than I'd thought. (Which just goes to show what's come to pass as normal for football news lately)
