Was about to post something on the same lines OLM...shame for Sam as was is having a good season as is Bolton generally.
Everyone goes on about Brownies disasters in the transfer market and the money he spent getting in less than average players but for me his biggest mistakes was allowing Ricketts and Turner to depart for next to nothing when they were good servants for the club.
Remember, Ricketts was replaced by McShane......Turner by Sonko...everyone raves about how Brownie got us to the prem....he also got us in the relagated by being a complete tool.
It was alleged both were replaced becuase of wage demands...well, Sonko on 30K and McShane on 24K...not sure how the maths work but I cannot think either would have wanted anymore.
Anyway, back to Sam...highly underrated in my opinion at City....clearly Bolton think he is well worth a place in their starting 11 and they are going strong.
