Didn't you know that it is a profound British duty not to fall ill.? Mustn't do that.
Just to amend that last post. The British people are allowed to die. Just make it quick, please. None of that lingering stuff, as it causes the state to become involved too much, and that costs. And also do it as soon after your 65th birthday as you can, if you don't mind. People on any form of benefit or aid can die as soon as possible.
At least, that's the impression I often get these days. Amazingly, we voted for this state of affairs.

Well there are some people who will like that approach but I watched Marr this morning and this is not being reported fairly. That makes it sound as though he dismissed a question. I've just gone back to check it. Farage was asked about the pound and the FTSE falling on Friday. He pointed out that the pound has actually risen in value since March and that the FTSE is at the same level and said there were other factors that will have affected the market on Friday (poor borrowing and growth figures). He then said even if the worst happens and the pound falls, so what? We have a floating currency and that would be good for exports.
He has a point too. Over the last year the pound has fallen about 8-9% against both the Euro and the Dollar. No doubt some people will have been significantly affected by that but I haven't noticed any real difference in my life and no doubt the value of the pound will rise again at some point.
I didn't realise, until a few days ago, that Gove used to work for Rupert Murdoch, at the Times.
Regardless of the "side" it has chosen, this is the very reason that I didn't want this referendum to happen. I said when Cameron promised it and I said it when they announced we were having one. This and the timing of the vote coinciding with what is happening in France with the hooligansim will have a big affect. I believe that the trouble there will rally round some "us against them" attitudes.
Is this still the best selling paper?
A 16 year old said to me at the weekend that they are glad they are not voting as they don't know enough to be able to make such an important decision. I replied that I didn't either, at 30 years older!

Yeah. Though I think the two term limit is a good thing really. We could have done with limiting both Thatcher and Blair to two terms. They both outstayed their welcome imo.

The only thing Farage and Johnson are interested in is seizing some sort of power. And they don't care about being rude about it. The only problem is that people are starting to listen.
Farage is a grubby little ****, really. Boris is an egomaniac drunk on himself, and Gove...who the **** is he again? The bloke who wanted to knock American, Irish and Caribbean writers off the English Literature syllabus? A moron then.
