Catherine West. It's all over the BBC. Only question is whether she (or someone else) can get the necessary number of MPs to back her. BBC reporter says he's been told it's possible.

Interesting. She’s my MP, Catherine West. Quite surprised she’s the one speaking out

The Tories need not only a new leader but a fresh set of policies and ideas that are far more inclusive and appealing to the electorate as a whole than the narrow remit of Badenoch. She really makes Ted Heath look progressive socially, economically and environmentally.
Worth noting. Ted Heath was a staunch proponent of European integration. As leader, he successfully negotiated and led the United Kingdom into the European Economic Community (EEC), the predecessor to the EU, on January 1st 1973.

I find it hilarious that political parties have no self awareness.

The conservatives tore themselves from the inside with all the infighting. Labour seemed to have watched that, and thought, we’ll do this too.

From my perspective, it stinks of immaturity, self preservation and incompetence.
Labour have always been good at tearing themselves apart. It doesn't matter if it is Starmer or someone else the only chance labour have is increasing real term wages and spending power of citizens.

Major could have and should have removed from the party those expressing anti-EU sentiments by making continued EU membership oñe of the core principles of Conservative philosophy, so when there was an election a Tory candidate was bound to support this stance. Cameron should also have implemented this instead of allowing opposition to ferment, knowing full well the outcome of the referéndum when he called it.

Didn't take long for Reform councillors to come under scrutiny and found to have posted hugely controversial posts such as the bloke who wanted Nigerians melted down to fill pot holes. Only took 3 days before the first scandal!

Sorry to hear that. I got done about ten years ago but fortunately managed to change my passwords after being left a message on my phone allegedly from my internet provider. I sussed them out when I asked for their address and found that it was not credible when i checked on Google Maps. The address was genuine but the building belonged to another company.

Since then, the scams have become more elaborate. I do not use internet banking because of this and do not use anything like Facebook either.

Stalking Horse for Streeting. He's on the move because he wants to get it started before any chance of Burnham being in the competition.

Because Burnham would be the preferred choice of most Labour MPs and members, probably. Yeah, could be that I suppose.

The thing with Catherine West is, she’s been a hard working constituency MP, loyal to whoever has been leader before, including Jeremy Corbyn who sacked her from his shadow cabinet. She’s quite left wing by today’s standards, but far from stridently so. Certainly no publicity seeker, and not a member of any Labour faction. It’s a bit strange that she’s spoken out now, it seems out of character,

Eye told you so.
"Private Eye delved into Christopher Harborne’s background - his dual identity as Chakrit Sakunkrit, his cryptocurrency connections, his enormous political donations - long before his undeclared £5 million personal gift to Nigel Farage.
From the Private Eye archive.

"Zack Polanski has claimed "two-party politics is dead", while also saying "the new politics is the Green Party versus Reform", an odd numerical mistake for someone who has 'Head of Quantum Mathematics at NASA' on their CV."

Quantum mathematics is known to subvert the laws of science, mathematics, and reason.

In Quantum Mechanics, where x = momentum and p = position, xp does not equal px

Starmer is looking increasingly under pressure. Three ministerial aides no one has heard of have resigned.

Not sure what to think about this. I think Starmer should not stand in the next GE but having an unelected PM will be a disaster and will only pour fuel on the fire by having Farage seeking a fresh election.

With the media would concentrate on Farage's dodgy donations instead.
