If there'd been armed police there they'd have shot the **** dead so I'd say he got off lightly quite frankly.

Shame there wasn't tbh.

Talking of which, loads of armed police around railway stations in London recently. I did try chatting to a couple of them at Waterloo the other day, but they weren’t very forthcoming about why they were there. Obviously expecting something.

Armed police always have to distance themselves from the public. It's why a lot of police are/were opposed to being armed.

Possibly related, Farringdon station has been evacuated in the last half hour or so.

EDIT: Seems it's a suspected gas leak.

They don't understand how taser works.
They don't understand the law.
They don't understand police tactics.
They've never ever had to restrain an unarmed individual much less an armed one.

But by god they’ve decided that it was wrong and they'll loudly and proudly claim it, without a hint of embarrassment or humility. It's so entrenched on the left that the police are wrong that even when excellent police work is shown they'll complain.

2 things will always be true to the hard left.
-policing in western societies is always evil
-bad things happening to Jews is a good thing.
That's a well over the top generalisation the which ignores right wing anti-semitism, the BNP and EDL other white supremacists, and neo-Nazis. It reads as a C&P from the Mail comments section or a spiked article.

This from Sage Journals which may not suit your narrative and, although from the US, pretty well matches UK and European attitudes.
"It's mooted that antisemitism is not exclusive to one side of the political spectrum, but rather it acts as a "horseshoe" where the far-left and far-right converge. However, while antisemitic tropes are found across the political divide, studies have indicated that it is currently more prevalent among the far-right, particularly among young white men, and often links to white nationalist ideologies."

The pink haired lesbians waving palestine flags are calling for bans

Whos actually in charge here @Libby

I was listening to an interview on Radio 4 last week which pointed out how the West is importing foreign conflicts onto our streets and cited several other religious and national confrontations which are now causing issues for our police.

I concur about Iran but this is also happening amongst the diaspora if the Indian subcontinent and western Africa. It is a far broader problem that Muslims versus Jews . The programme described this an an unforeseen consequence of European empires in 1800s and especially where there has been policy of citizenship from these former colonies.

Globalisation will only serve to make this more of an issue. There are unlikely players too. Chinese monitoring former Hong Kong residents , different factions of Iranians , Kurd's and Tamils in the past.

Quite interesting to read some of the interviews on the BBC news site which some may wish to comment on including British residents looking to move to Israel and Netanyahu calling on Starmer to take action. Just not good

We have only just begun to resolve the disaster zone in Northern Ireland that we created. We do not need to import other people's wars.

Exactly. And when you import huge numbers of people from other countries and cultures, you inevitably import their conflicts and prejudices.
