Awful. The world is too filled with hate and the death of innocents.
The police clearly believed the suspect was carrying a bomb - if that is indeed the case the speed of the police response to take him down before he could detonate it was crucial in averting a much bigger mass casualty scenario. Mind you, if he did indeed have a bomb, why would you bother stabbing people?
Witnesses report the suspect is still alive. Going by the speed of response, the police must have had some advance knowledge of this incident, but maybe not the location. The suspect was shot 6 minutes after the alarm was raised.
I thought that too, must have had some intelligence that something might happen to arrive that quickly?
Great work from them though.
Whether that is true or not we heard 20 years of politicians saying "but we can't do that because of the EU" which is pretty close to what Tony Benn was alluding to because a lot of the argument of "we still had authority" was only on paper. Yes we can go against something the EU dictats but there are penalties in place for those that do, "rebates" that get withheld. all sort of blackmail strategies if you do not toe the line!
It is one of the main reasons Labour went mad on PFI. They used money from the future by signing maintenance contracts that would only then appear on the books each year rather than a liability from the start being paid back and this meant they could spaff the actual tax intake on "the public" and still keep within the "strict" 3% of GDP allowed for a deficit in the EU dictats!
There wer loads of things we could have "sovereignly" gone against but the comeback for any resistance is the problem! That sovereignty meant nothing in the end and politicians on both sides were happy to constantly trot out the "Unfortunately we can't because we're in the EU" line. So we removed the excuse, whats the excuse now? Ahh we can;t X or Y because we're not in the EU. It is laughable. lol and rofl and lmao.
BBC Radio 4 advised that there are always armed response police teams that are available to tackle these kinds of incidents within such time frames. My initial opinion was that the police had intelligence but had lost contact with the suspect and failed to react.
Seemingly positive news about a British police force after yesterday's revelations about the Met although I think there will be an enquiry as to how readily they resulted to lethal force. The suspect was shot to incapacitate him but attempted to get up despite the instructions from the firearms officers who then shot him a second time. It does look like the police acted by the book.
Not really revelations! This stuff has been endemic in the police - and big chunks of our culture - for a long time.BBC Radio 4 advised that there are always armed response police teams that are available to tackle these kinds of incidents within such time frames. That’s what I said. Society is a cesspitThe fact that this "journalist" was in post for 7 months and most of the footage he got was from when these people were pissed in the pub would suggest its not really endemic.
But yes, the police recruits from society. It's not that surprising that it reflects that society
What have Jews got to do with Israel? I would hazard a guess that most of the Jews in the synagogue today were British rather than Israeli.Unfortunately, I can see the attacks on synagogues becoming more prevalent as Israel continues with it's genocide in Gaza and our Muslim nationals rightly increasingly become more incensed but wrongly perpetrate crimes like this.

The sex-obsessed custody sergeant was sober and on duty, particularly when he rushed to watch the woman dressed as a police officer being searched. The officer who was completely dismissive of the alleged rape victim was also sober and on duty. The fact that this "journalist" was in post for 7 months and most of the footage he got was from when these people were pissed in the pub would suggest its not really endemic.

In other news, Reform twats Tice and Dorrees are doing the rounds on the news circuit accusing Starmer of inciting violence against Farage. The are both repeating lies that Starmer asked people to take up arms and attack Reform.
What Starmer actually said was: we need to fight for the soul of this country.
This is the party of idiots, for idiots. I know Britain is full of idiots so roll on their election next time around.
