So your solution is reward Hamas, and punish Israel.
Not sure that's as simple as solution as you think, Ian.
But you are conflating Palestine with Hamas. They are not the same.

Netanyahu is just about as corrupt as Trump. He will prolong this war as long as he can to stay in power, avoiding pressure for a review of October 7th and the corruption trial he will inevitably face after the war ends. The Israeli people generally hate him, but he has been able to use the outrage over October 7th to keep them relatively quiet. A lot like Putin and Ukraine, and Trump and ‘illegals’. The fascist playbook playing out in Israel is one of life’s greatest, and saddest, ironies.Indeed. And you're conflating the Israeli population with their leaders too. They are not the same either.

You do, of course, mean proscribing - prescribing would be quite the opposite of their intention!Trying to compose a balanced response to Game's post.
I think the people supporting Palestine are the mainstream, to be honest. Not sure that the government has recognised this in prescribing Palestine Action and think they have badly misread the views of the broader public. It is by no means universally popular. Seems like a similar over reaction such as when Thatcher prevented Republican views being broadcast during reports into Northern Ireland back in the 1980s. The government lost that case too.
Cheers, Tom !
No doubt Farage is flavour of the month but I just feel that any current momentum will be thwarted by the press. I am convinced they are happy to build his profile upwards but also think they will go to town against him ahead if the next election.
I am staggered that Starmer has started so poorly. I cannot see him lasting to front Labour in the next campaign.
So what are your predictions?
At the risk of being called a conspiracy theorist, I am becoming more and more convinced that Farage and his financial backers were fully aware of how much impact us leaving the EU would have on immigration, particularly asylum seekers. The press love Farage, he’s box office gold. And he has his own tv show, which beggars belief really. The man gets a huge amount of press coverage, and most of it is positive. Even the BBC has been rolling out the red carpet for years. With any luck he’ll fall out with his own party before the next General Election, and Reform, which is mostly a collection of absolute freaks, weirdos and closet Nazis, will tear itself apart. But don’t count on the press doing anything other than puffing him up.
I’m not surprised Starmer is unpopular. His government has made some high profile errors, and communication has been terrible, but if they can tackle the housing crisis and get public services back off life support they may yet reap the benefit.
I don’t think he cares about homelessness. Just an excuse to put his own troops on the ground. So he is halfway there.
Let's eradicate homelessness.
Where he is wrong is that you look at the reasons people are homeless, not make it illegal to be homeless and arrest them all.
He really wants a police state like the old USSR. Nearer everyday.I don’t think he cares about homelessness. Just an excuse to put his own troops on the ground.
He will probably pick up some tips when he meetsHe really wants a police state like the old USSR. Nearer everyday.
Imagine asking Orban for advice. That’s like asking Pol Pot for a sandwich.I hear the Trump asked Victor Orban if Ukraine could beat Russia who replied "no Russia is huge and geared for war." My reply would have been: "If Vietnam defeated United States why can't Ukraine beat Russia?"
