The more they insult us, the better I feel about our standing in the World.

We must escalate rearmament rapidly though and somehow sack off Capita and their **** army recruitment processes, we need to be strong to stay out of the forming Russia-American axis.

Their statement uses all the same language that right wingers use. It is almost like the Kremlin is creating the right wing narratives…
 
The US and Russia have called an emergency meeting of the UN to discuss Syria. This feels ominous to me.

edit: the Syria thing is odd. All the info I can find is that most of the attacks are on Alawite Muslims, but the uproar seems to be about Christian deaths.

I’m sure our special friendship with America will have their President rushing to denounce those comments.

In another totally unrelated and totally coincidental incident, the novel I am reading has a Putin launched satellite preparing to launch missiles at 4 major cities in America and 4 in Europe, within the next 36-48 hours.
 
I think the BBC's coverage of the appointment of Mark Carney had been way too biased. It is as if there is no Conservative alternative for the forthcoming election.

There is a discernable anti Trump bias in the non American media ad the rest of the world struggles to make sense of him.

Not at all surprised by this given Putin,'s efforts to twist the history taught in the national curriculum.

However, I think it is an interesting debate as the UK because we have probably started more wars than anyone else between 1600 through to mid 20th century as we tried to nail down an empire. By the same token, I think that Spain and France would also be added to the list as they did not exactly gain their territory through peaceful means.

Seriously. I have no interest in anyone coming on to defend him now. There’s no excuses.

Christ, the guy is being taken to court by two women right now, who are mothers of some of his many children, filing for sole custody because he never sees his children. Why the **** would you lean into a person like that?

I am not sure it was ever about sides, to be honest.
As Os keeps saying, we lefties have gone all warlike. The truth is there is a battle of disinformation going on where Putin’s Russia and his American stooges are attempting to rebalance the world. It isn’t about left and right, it is about rabbit hole vs informed. Those who get their news from X and similar sources vs those who still read genuine neutral media.

Quite frankly, that’s a generous interpretation.

I hope Os is good enough to come on and say “no, that’s indefensible”. He’d get a lot more respect for admitting that. I don’t want to presume he won’t though.

Conspiracy Theory? A couple of Russian agents hi-jacked the Portuguese Container ship and rammed the US Government aviation fuel tanker. You couldn't make these things up!
