Btw the hyperbole and outcry about Trump’s conversation with Zelensky is also partially manufactured:

Of course; the big difference here is that one happened publically and one was kept private, which is a huge difference. But the outcry is massively overblown this time. People are looking for any reason to hate on Trump.

Biden would have been given a much easier time if a similar exchange played out

No, sorry. Whataboutism. The behaviour of Trump and his little lapdog Vance (and in particular Vance) was inexcusable, however you want to spin it. Stop looking for outs and call it what it is.

Im not. I don’t agree with how they handled it. I think it should have stayed behind closed doors. I’m just saying that the outcry is also being over hyped.

The media loves attacking Trump and the republicans with anything they can in a way that isn’t aimed at the left.

They attack Elon, Trump and Vance as enemies of democracy. This isn’t true. They are threats to the bureaucracy

I don’t totally disagree, but you can’t really use the example of one thing that one outlet reported that nobody saw.

I can. Because it perfectly proves how unfair the coverage is.

When Trump does something, the world knows about it in a heartbeat.

Biden walked around unfit for leadership for months and yet the entire media covered up his every mistake for him.

It’s important context for those on here that seem to believe Trump is some sort of fascist. People need to be aware that they are being propagandised, and need to realise how far left the global media coverage is.

Listen to Elon musk on Joe rogan. In his own words, for three hours. These not the words of a Nazi that should terrify people in the way people are being conditioned to believe

The world saw a premeditated attack on Zelensky - with lapdog journalist asking provocative questions and a Russian ****ing journalist in the room.

That is quite different to Biden having a private disagreement.

But this is pointless as you are incapable of seeing something your echo chamber has not told you to think.

Did you listen to Elon’s interview?

Are you willing to admit that maybe you could be the one in an echo chamber?

But Trump is a showman, and he *wants* the world to know every time he wipes his arse. An overload of information is his modus operandi- it’s how he manages to get away with half the stuff he does. The truth becomes demoralised. It’s also why he has people like Musk on his team, because if there’s one thing he’s good at, and as the boss of X, it’s a constant stream of information and disinformation.

For balance, I will listen to Musk/Rogan tomorrow.

Thanks. I really think everyone should hear it.

The sheer scale of waste and fraud is staggering. Everything he is doing will be justified in the end.

In my opinion, those trying to paint him as a Nazi are the ones that stand to lose money or have things to hide.

Trump is obviously more complex than Elon with many more flaws. But Elon specifically is being targeted because of the great work he is doing.

This is a genuine revolution to improve America and it will have far reaching consequences around the globe

As I’ve consistently said, I have no problem with the concept of investigating and improving the issues around government waste. In fact it’s a very good idea.

I wouldn’t. I have and it is painful. Musk stutters and stumbles through it without any coherence at all.

Where's the fun in just agreeing with each other? I love that there are people with opposing views.
I don’t want people agreeing with each other, just adults in the room with thoughtful points to discuss

99% of posters do this but someone doesn’t and the thread gets full of responses to nonsense and no response to challenges

That’s the pointless bit

I agree that it can get a little frustrating when nonsense is posted, you point out that it's nonsense with evidence and it's then ignored. Such is life I guess.

Anyone giving his children highly unusual names, including Exa Dark Sideræl, Strider, Azure and X Æ A-12, known as X for short and. Seldon Lycurgus must be questionable!
Jason Lee (the actor) called his daughter Pilot Inspector Lee. Always found that one a bit odd.
Frank Zappa called his children Moon Unit, Dweezil, Ahmet, and Diva, and he was one of the most sensible people in world history.
