Agreed mate. But ignoring it and calling everyone racist and thick as has been happening for years now can't continue.
You say that but all the talk from the bubble that has been doing that is more of the same. While racist thugs jump on something as an excuse to make their point the blob is quite happy to jump on this minority's actions now exposed as an excuse to try and tie in all opponents to their world viewpoint as being responsible for it be it twitter, politicians that don't bow down to wholesale woke values and all sorts more!
It was noticeable up there in a post from someone that they quoted 3 supposedly right wing newspapers as "having a lot to answer for" while nothing is said about favoured publications constant tactic of linking all and sundrie they don't share views with as being on the wrong side of history or as far right and linking all their "opponents" on the political spectrum to anything that happens! It is a 2 way thing and the left publications/influencers have as much to answer for.
Also we see Brexit to blame again. I hate to tell you but there are not 17.4m on the streets nor 17.4m that have these viewpoints yet here we are again linking the couple hundred idiots in each town to the millions that voted the wrong way!
No mentions of the now visible 2 tier policing where right wing thugs are kettled and stopped from doing things (quite rightly) but at Harehills and now in these riots the police have stood off when it is not the right wing thugs on the charge! Yesterday they stood off a large group of asians rather than give them the same treatment as the whitey blighty hooligans while they threatened white journalists reported in the area. If we are wanting to rid this "them" and "us" stuff them treat people the same otherwise you quite literally are saying "they" get treated differently to "us."
Tory austerity is to blame. Another nugget. So it isn't the narrative of the past decade or so glorifying riots if they are on the "progressive" agenda? The London Riots were pretty much blamed on other issues in 2010. Can that be blamed on Tory Austerity? It was almost glossed over by many on the left as being a desperate response to people's situations when the reality was it was thicko thugs that jumped on the chance to smash things up and loot.
BLM inspired riots in the US? glossed over beccause of the favoured agenda. People who agree with this stuff seem unable to see past their own noses and do not seem to notice how they dismiss some things while then getting very angry about others.
Just watch over the next week all this tough talk which will end up with political influencers and politicians try to hook all this stuff up so they can close down freedoms "to protect freedom" and the whole "save democracy" BS by which they mean of course to stop their opponents. We were already on the slippery slope to some Ayn Rand Scenario where the narrative no longer needs controlling because that is the only narrative and they are already talking about measures that they have spent decades criticising China and authoritarian countries of doing.
Closing down free speech to stop a few hundred nobs is not what this is about. they are seizing the opportunity to do a China and ban X or social media platforms that don't play ball with the state's chosen mantra. and anyone on here or elsewhere that parrots this nonsense is party to this and happy for the world to be authoritarian, control what you can say, do, think because it matches their idea of freedom.......meaning not freedom. Clonedom.
Authorities should stop politiking on this, crack down on everyone that breaks the law, not pick and choose but not utilise these idiots actions as a premise to shut down any dissent with the bubble's mantras.
Attacking mosques is quite obviously a racist attack. Deal with it properly for what it is not try and extrapolate the actions of a few onto the masses with such draconian measures. Some people above do seem to think this is representative of a much larger body of the populace than it is. I daresay some might think a million or millions are closet racists but they are wrong. And while we can still get better the UK is a much better country on the racism front than virtually anywhere else in the world if people would stop thinking it was a cesspit of racial hatred and actually watched what is happening in other countries.
This is one of the reasons so many people cross Europe to get here. Not because of benefits or other minutae detail that is painted as why folk are against immigration. They cross that channel because the UK is the preferred choice of country because of its record on racism. And that record is nothing to do with enforcement. It is to do with the populace of this country being much more "tolerant" than we see across Europe and definitely the US!
If you want to see the problem of this country twitter is pretty much the best place to start. The focus is on the right wing statements / influencers but is far outweighed by the "centrists" and left wingers that want authoritarian rule and a clampdown on anything that ain't their own vision and has been since way before Musk. Twitter is after all dominated by left wing commentariat and media folk as their tool of choice to speak to their echo chambers. Most of the far right lot are on facebook! yet they see their chance to take on Musk here, they don't care about the issue at hand. Like the rioters are utilising events as an excuse to do their ****, these right on folks are utilising events to "get their twitter back." They want to control the town square.
