Braverman appears to have instigated a “Hate March” by the far right

It works for her because they will kick up a ****storm, which the Police will have to respond to.

Meanwhile the Palestine ceasefire march will be much more peaceful (I’m not going to pretend that 0.01% of this won’t have a bad element, but way way lower) and therefore not attract a response from the Police.

Then Braverman can claim that the police are picking a side.

I agree with the principle. But again, Armistice means mutual putting down of weapons or a truce. The organisers of these marches have publicly declared that they don’t want that. So who are the ones really using it as a disguise?

The vast majority at the ceasefire march are there in favour of peace (Although there will be some unsavoury pro Hamas elements there it will be an extreme minority).

Do I think they are naive and misguided, yes. Hamas and the Israeli Gov have absolutely no desire for it, Hamas is still holding hostages and remains a risk to Israel. On the other side Israel is clearly indiscriminately slaughtering Palestinian civilians. Neither side is in any mood to relent.

But for the majority of ceasefire protestors they are there in the belief that a ceasefire would mean peace and therefore that they want weapons and a truce, naive or not.

She should be charged with conspiracy to incite a riot imo

I agree with you but would still feel more favourably if some of these marchers chanted for the release of the hostages .
Meanwhile in North London, several houses of ordinary Jewish families have been covered in red paint. Their crime? Displaying a mezuzah. So dangerous that these people are hiding under the guise of peace to outpour their hate.

Very mixed. My immigration stance is probably quite right wing, though not as much as the Tories. Lol my Dad has said I am the wrong complexion to hold these values. My view of the economy and taxation is definitely right of centre, though welfare I am definitely on the left. No one should be on the streets in 2023 (it ISNT a lifestyle choice) and those that can afford it should help pay for those that can’t. That said, it isn’t a crime to earn good money if you work hard and you should be able to keep it - I don’t agree with the ‘tax the wealthy they can afford it’ stance at all.

Yep very mixed up I know. Also I am an atheist and don’t believe the n wars or violence to solve problems.

lol with all these conflicting views a shrink would have a field day with me.

Edit

My immigration stance is that we need to control it and have quotas. Those that want to immigrate have to show that they can contribute to the country and they have something to offer. They must also embrace our culture - they don’t have to lose their identity, but become British. This is coming from the son of Italian and Indian immigrants.

Asylum seekers I am mixed on. We have to give them refuge, but they contradict the above.
Well stated #7 Yes, it’s difficult to balance all these “conflicting” positions.

Do you have a link for this? I live in North London, and haven't seen or heard anything about it; though I do know many Jewish families are in fear at the moment, which of course is tragic.

The media coverage is absolutely laughable.

If you’re white and go out to protest anything you’re “far right football hooligans”.

But if you’re supporting Hamas and chanting antisemitic slurs and about genocide, it’s totally fine. The met police have lost the ****ing plot.

Meanwhile everything was actually peaceful as soon as the police let them through

The party political posturing of Sunak and Braverman has done much to inflame the situation. The tory party infighting further highlights how unfit for purpose and unelectable they are.

No. Only in your weird labour propaganda warped brain is this caused by the Tories.

This one is caused by Palestine protestors desecrating the memorial weekend in the capital city. Its disgraceful

Will try to find it again. This particular house was in West Hampstead.

What bollocks you spout when much of the tory party has been wanting rid of Braverman and support the march. I've made my differences with labour more than plain in many posts. You expose your intellectual deficiencies with such nonsense.

she was correct unfortunately. Anyone that would drape flags on war memorials this weekend is ****ing disgusting.

And you are completely brain dead

Ah yes, the British police. Never have they lied before in order to cover up potentially damaging political optics.

Never would they try and stifle a story in order to keep up the appearance that multi-culturalism is alive and working well.

From that hotbed of left-wing wokery, the Daily Express:

Sounds awful. Possibly life-threatening.

Well the media also failed to report on any of the acts of violence or fireworks fired at police by the Hamas terrorist supporters last weekend, so I have very little faith in any media reporting accurately.

They seem to be doing their best to protect the Hamas supporters and paint everyone who disagrees with them as racist

Serious, honest question. It is possible that you might ever say "Yes, it appears I was wrong?"

EDIT: I ask because you utterly totally and completely believed (and repeated) what the Telegraph (the media) said. Fair enough. Then the Police investigated, issued a statement and you doubted the statement. Then the Express (a paper well over to your political view of the world) published and didn't even hint that there was a problem with the police investigation. So it makes me wonder what it would take for you to change your mind on something you believe and just say "Yep, I was misled". Remember, you believe it based upon a media report, the media in whom you have "very little faith"..

Is there ANYTHING that will change your mind on what the actual facts are in this case? What would it be? This isn't an attack, I'm genuinely puzzled why you sometimes believe the media and sometimes don't. How do you decide when reporting is accurate (Telegraph original report) and inaccurate (Express report)?

BBC reporter accompanying the 300,000 peace marchers:

“I haven't seen any trouble from these crowds of people.”

Michael gove was attacked and assaulted by protesters

Yes, they attacked an MP yet the media are pretending it was peaceful
