Can. You. Read?

Can. You. Think. ?

You said “if everyone else says you’re wrong and you’re correct, what do we call that”

I call myself on the correct side of history - aka legitimately staying neutral even when I have said I have a friend in Israel that is directly impacted by this war.

the general sentiment on here has been extremely anti-Israel and I am allowed to discuss their views as well.

Once again you all gang up on anyone that doesn’t have the same opinions as you.

You said we all were cheering on Hamas in a response to me. I asked for evidence I had shown anything like that viewpoint. Me.

I was talking about the general forum tone. You were the first one to use the word “everyone” and generalise. Now you’re asking me to point to evidence of yourself, which you haven’t been doing.

You can’t generalise first and then ask for specifics like that. It’s a false equivalency

Then you need to write more clearly. What you meant to say was that you felt the general tone of the forum was pro Hamas and anti-Israel. What you said was that "YOU ALL" are cheering on Hamas. Those are horrendously different statements.

Both are also untrue. Find one example of antisemitism where Jews are attacked? The conflation of Israel with Judaism is very dangerous.

You have got upset because people have called you out for your nonsense and gone on the attack. Calling out an "ism" seems like an odd direction for you to go...

I would also like evidence that I have offered any pro-Hamas sentiments.

I was listening on LBC to a guy who had worked on a cruise ship which regularly visited Israel. Among his fellow crew there was an Israeli woman and a Palestinian Arab man, who fell in love and married. Apparently this isn’t uncommon, and relations between ordinary Israelis and Palestinians are usually quite cordial.

To rephrase Os’ scenario about redistribution if weaponry, if the Zionist politicians and Islamic fundamentalist warlords were to leave the region alone, with no input from Iran/USA/Russia and so on, peace might just stand a chance. 65% of the population of Gaza are under 24 years old, with the median age being just 18. They don’t want this situation, any more than my kids or anyone else’s kids do.

Big difference between being anti Israel and antisemitic.

Israel is an apartheid state and should be allowed to be criticised as such.

Hamas are a terrorist group and are rightly criticised as such.

Difference is, calling out Israel's government sees you branded antisemitic. Calling out the Gaza Strips government doesn't see you branded anti-islam.

The pre-existing narrative on this incredibly nuanced debate is heavily sided in favour of Israel. It's so easy for Hamas to gain favour within Palestine and have a constant supply of willing recruits as a result of this.

So you agree with me then. When push comes to shove might is right and everything else is an illusion. Everything else becomes meaningless when your enemy won’t stop until your entire race is extinct. Thanks for clarifying

Where the **** have i said Israel’s actions are justified?

I am trying to put myself in each parties shoes in order to fully understand the situation.

Everyone on here was ****ing cheering Hamas on at first so don’t tell me that I’m wrong when all of you were defending the terrorists at first.
“Mon the Palestinians”

“Hamas attack was a success”.

“there are no civilian Israelis”

Two solid examples plus the general anti-Semitic sentiment on here which is quite frankly appalling.
Having checked through the thread, "Everyone on here" is not cheering on Hamas far from it. Your post is a gross distortion as well you know.

YOU used the word “everyone” first so you can shove your sanctimonious post up your arse

Whilst not wishing to further inflame any debate, I lifted this quote:

"Everyone on here was ****ing cheering Hamas on at first so don’t tell me that I’m wrong when all of you were defending the terrorists at first."

From Post 41273, posted by Os. So maybe people are responding to this generalisation

I think there's masses of support on here for Palestinians, but none that I can see for Hamas. Most of us know the 2 are separate things.
There's also sympathy for Israeli citizens etc killed in the Hamas attacks, but that doesn't mean that people are not critical of the Zionist Israeli government because once again, people are not the same thing as nation.

Yes in hindsight I worded that badly. I apologise

I have Israeli friends & colleagues living in Tel Aviv & they take the position that peace will only come from compromise & a stop to the systematic land grab (their words). And that’s been their position for decades. Of course there’s always two sides to terrible conflicts such as this but I can’t honestly believe all the dross you’ve written on here.

Solid example <laugh>

Come on mate you're better than that. You know Hamas doesn't mean Palestine, and you can condemn the former while still supporting the latters cause.

Any examples of the anti semitism?

Saying there are no Israeli civilians and they are all guilty is very close to antisemitism in my eyes. A couple of people on here should be ashamed imo.

Unfortunately there is now solid proof that Hamas beheaded & burned babies. I have no idea how anyone can be that evil. I don’t think there can never be peace when the hatred is that strong.

I think your posts are absolute dross too if it helps

I see a lot of Jewish schools are closed in London tomorrow as a result of threats toward the Jewish community.
Horrible.
