Is this really the UK in 2023!! Here are the author's words written around 10 years ago and seemingly not much has changed based on my last visit?

" Like many British towns, _____________ has closed its factories and workshops, and instead is directing all its economic energies into the making and drinking of coffee. There are essentially two types of shop in the town: empty shops and coffee shops."

Those of you who have read the book will recognise the author and the place that he is talkijng about immedicately. For those who haven't, it is a place located not too far from Southampton.

“FDA explicitly recognizes that doctors do have the authority to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID,” Ashley Cheung Honold, a Department of Justice lawyer representing the FDA, said during oral arguments on Aug. 8 in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Seems like big pharma made their money, and now they’re happy to talk about what actually benefits patients.

The Epoch Times. You. Are. Quoting. The. Epoch. Times.

You are also misunderstanding it. Doctors have the authority to write such a prescription, but that does not make it effective. Ivermectin does absolutely nothing for COVID. It's an anti-parasitic.
In the USA a doctor can prescribe any medicine for any purpose they choose, even an anti parasitic for a virus. If your doctor is a bit off it really means the patient has to have an understanding of medicine which is not always the case.

Isn’t this paper run by some kind of nutty religious cult?

The sad thing is that "extreme right-wing paper run by a nutty religious cult" doesn't even narrow it down that much. Yeah, Epoch Times is run by Falun Gong, not to be confused with the Washington Times which is run by the Unification Church (aka the Moonies).

The court in Fulton County, Georgia, appears to have accidentally published the charges against Trump (presumably they are under seal currently, while the charging documents are prepared and all the niceties conducted). If I'm reading it correctly, it'll be another 39 felonies to add to his current court, taking him up to nearly 120, including 4 counts of violating Georgia's racketeering statute, and a bunch of other conspiracy charges for good measure). These are also state charges, so even in the event that he wins in 2024, he cannot pardon himself for them.

We have to hope that the case is watertight and he gets convicted then.

These idiots continually commit a lot of their criming to writing, I suspect because they are lawyers and assumed they could hide them behind attorney-client privilege (which doesn't work when the attorney is doing the criming). Makes it much easier to build a case, and the prosecutors apparently have correspondence where they discussed, among other things, hacking into the Fulton County election machines.
