Finally the truth is starting to come out. Covid vaccine causes heart damage in young people. Based on an official ONS study.

It isn't as black and white as that if you read it through.

"The data relate to vaccinations given between December 2020 and June 2022.

Most of the young people who received the AstraZeneca jab before April 2021 would have been prioritised due to underlying health conditions, or because they were healthcare workers.

Therefore, the 3.5 times greater risk cannot be generalised to the whole population, the ONS said."

and

"The number of deaths registered in England involving Covid-19 vaccines causing adverse effects is miniscule compared to the number administered - 59 compared with 144.7 million"

and

"The ONS also examined the increased risk of death after testing positive for Covid, and found it was raised for both cardiac and all-cause deaths among people.

The risk was higher in those who were unvaccinated, they added.

Analysing hospital deaths of those who tested positive for Covid, the researchers found 13 per cent were unvaccinated, compared to three per cent who were vaccinated.

Vahé Nafilyan, senior statistician at the ONS, said: “We find no evidence that the risk of cardiac or all cause death is increased in the weeks following vaccination with mRNA vaccines.

“However, receiving a first dose of a non-mRNA vaccine was associated with an increased risk of cardiac death in young women."

Not disputing there is an increased risk, but it isn't as black and white as "I am right you are all wrong". The devil is in the detail.

That's a little bit disingenuous mate. It's the Astra-Zeneca vaccine only, and that was stopped at the time anyhow for young people because of these concerns. The main take aways from the ONS study are actually -

More harmful than natural immunity in those under 30.

Tell that to my friends mum that died of a heart attack two days after being coerced into taking it.

Tell that to the thousands of vaccine related injured people that have received no media attention and told they are crazy.

I'm not spinning the statistics though Os, those are the findings directly from the ONS that you quoted. "The vaccines" aren't harmful to young people - there's an increased risk with *one* of them (the non Mrna vaccine from AZ) that was pulled immediately at the time that a concern was raised (fairly early on in the whole process) for young women.

The findings are actually broadly saying how incredibly effective and safe the vaccines actually were and are. I'm surprised by how clear that finding is (I personally thought that the findings would be somewhat more concerning). It's genuinely one of the most amazing pieces of human ingenuity in the last however long.

As you say though, there's a lot more study to be done, and more conclusions to be reached, so we'll see. But when you consider the size of the data set and the speed of the rollout, it's incredible just how few issues there's been, and this study backs that up.

No, I'm not. I want to reiterate the point that there's a lot more data to come out from all this, and I hope that the data continues on the trend of showing how well they've actually done. But nobody can predict that at this point.

I assume you don't travel abroad much then? I go to USA every year and they still require foreigners to be fully vaccinated to get in.

I think that's probably fair enough, but we were very much dealing with an unknown. With hindsight, I'd perhaps agree that for the young it probably wasn't worth the risk, but for the compromised and the older (I would have said 40+) it made more sense. But then I'm also not qualified to say whether or not keeping half a population unvaccinated could have led to more issues (rate of infection, variants) etc.

I feel so sorry for those that were conned into taking a vaccine they didn’t need and are now suffering from it.

FWIW I totally understand why some refused to have the vaccine. Vaccines are optional and that should never change. But you can't say they damage all young people's health because that simply isn't true. It's down to the individual to weight up the pros and cons and make an informed decision.
