If anyone is stuck for something to do today, and is concerned about the Beeb and any bias - my wife is interviewing Director General of the BBC, Tim Davie, at 13:00 today on this (and I'll make sure she asks some questions about it!) It's a conference she's organised and has some great guests if you fancy it (including Justin Trudeau, Facebook's COO Sheryl Sandberg, Tim Berners-Lee and Google CEO Sundar Pichai). Free to watch (though you have to register).

So we won't be filling our suitcases with sausages, black pudding, pork pies, cheddar and stilton when we can travel safely W.H.A.T! All available here, at a premium of course. The big miss for us is the M&S food hall, it's been closed a while now.The discussion about this has been going on for a few weeks in parts of the media, where the example was that a cheese and ham sandwich would be confiscated on the grounds of it being both a meat and a dairy product.
The video might have been “hammed” up a bit for effect though.
The following passage is from www.gov.uk
Taking food and drink into EU countries
You are not able to take meat, milk or products containing them into EU countries.
There are some exceptions, for example certain amounts of powdered infant milk, infant food, or pet food required for medical reasons. Check the rules about taking food and drink into the EU on the European Commission website.
Spoof?
The customs officers were following the rules, hamming it up for the camera. Are you trying to say it is fake news? Now where I have I heard that so many times?

This is just obscene. Words fail me.Here’s another one. Apparently the company supplying the food charged the public purse £30, for what could be bought from Asda for just over £5.

Can't like that St B it's a national disgrace. What's the right description profiteering, corruption, misuse of public funds? One of the committees in the HoP should pick up on it. Starmer should take Johnson to task on this, get the knife in and twist it. Oh Sunak and Co are right behind spaffer et tu brute. Here’s another one. Apparently the company supplying the food charged the public purse £30, for what could be bought from Asda for just over £5.
