The home office, minister Priti Patel, has a press release from the Law Society complaining about attacks on the legal profession. Surprised no, dismayed and angry yes. It seems most if not all professional institutions are at odds with this bunch of incompetents masquerading as a government acting in the best interests of the nation.

If you have seen the video, you will have noticed that not only did they call the lawyers “activists”, when in reality they were just ensuring that the refugees were advised of their legal rights, but they also had a dig at the EU.
The claim was that EU legislation was stopping us from kicking refugees out of the country.
This is wrong because we can return them to the first EU country they entered, under the Dublin agreement, but from January we won’t be part of that agreement, so I am guessing that the plan will be to return refugees to the country from which they are fleeing, or any other country that will take them.
So in a short video they have had a go at lawyers, refugees and the EU.
Haven't seen the video but don't doubt your description. There's a media savvy bunch employed by the government to churn out the misinformation, the Lynton Crosby crew and others

A lame duck loser Grayling fails again, Boris was outmanoeuvred by the committee he was trying to take control of. Hopefully an indication that despite his big majority spaffer won't get his own(Cummings) way all the time. I am now convinced more than ever that Johnson and his crew are really on Putin's pay roll charged with ****ing up every aspect of British government and society as well as causing division and unrest in society and doing their utmost to wreck the EU.
