Blimey mate .......
Reading all these blimeys reminds me that just a week ago a Dutch online buddy returned home after a week here. I've known him for a couple of years and he came over for the Summer Solstice, and to meet up for the first time. Just to satisfy his requests I let out a few blimeys, crikeys and the odd strewth, so that by the end he was actually guffawing with laughter. He's very keen on language and loves the finer points of slang and how it originates. I suggested that when he speaks English elsewhere [which he does almost annoyingly well] he refrains from the crikeys and blimeys. He said that he couldn't guarantee it because he loves saying them so much. We even worked on his Hampshire accent. He's going to practice.

EDIT: And I introduced him to 'mush' too.
