She needs to go when the decisión is finally taken one way or the other. As there is no one of PM material inside the Tory party today, they should follow the example of our PL clubs and look further afield. Fortunately, there is Albert Rivera of Ciudadnos. All the Tories need to do is prise him away from Spain, find him a safe seat and elect him as their leader. He´s young, handsome., patriotic, would understand the Gibraltar situation, speaks English. All in all the perfect leader for the Conservatives, post Brexit.
As I suggested before the leader of the pirate party here in the Netherlands should be on the ticket. She's Ancilla van de Leest (Rotterdam, 21 July 1985), born as Linde van de Leest she's a Dutch politician, former fetish model, producer, presenter and activist. more info here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancilla_van_de_Leest

Give over Ides, that just isn’t going to happen. Jeremy Corbyn has more chance of becoming the leader of the Tories than Rivera!

They are suggesting May should perhaps resign to get her deal through. There is no doubt in most people’s eyes she has made a lot of mistakes. But she really took on a red herring with all this. I’m not sure we should be heaving all the blame on her although granted some is her fault. She certainly hasn’t been helped by her MPs and certainly hasn’t received or taken good advice from all quarters.
One of the things that annoy me and Mrs Jab is her me, me, me, I, I and I attitude as though she's the only one in the negotiations capable of coherent thought. A notion firmly slapped down after here recent visit to request an extension. No reference to a team unless she's trying to shed responsibility. Touch of the Mourinhos there.

I saw this on FB and thought I'd share it

She inspires me with confidence. I think it's confidence anyway

No she doesn’t, because that would open the door to that dangerous buffoon (or that’s how he likes to be seen) Boris, or Rees-Mogg or Gove or any one of a number of extremely dangerous people - and we, the people, will have no say in who it is. This is taking back control from an unelected body? Don’t make me laugh.

Oliver Cromwell: 'In the name of God, go!' speech dismissing Rump Parliament - 1653

20 April 1653, London, England

It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place,

which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice.

Ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government.

Ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.

Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess?

Ye have no more religion than my horse. Gold is your God. Which of you have not bartered your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?

Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defiled this sacred place, and turned the Lord's temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices?

Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation. You were deputed here by the people to get grievances redressed, are yourselves become the greatest grievance.

Your country therefore calls upon me to cleanse this Augean stable, by putting a final period to your iniquitous proceedings in this House; and which by God's help, and the strength he has given me, I am now come to do.

I command ye therefore, upon the peril of your lives, to depart immediately out of this place.

Go, get you out! Make haste! Ye venal slaves be gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors.

In the name of God, go!

The government have now lost control of the Brexit process by losing the Letwin amendment. A series of indicative votes by secret ballot will now be held on Wednesday.

This is disgusting.

Lambeth Council has 63 councillors............57 of them are Labour and only 1 a Tory! It is disgusting but that is what all of our politicians (national and local, whatever party) seem to let happen.

Now what do you recon? (Not what you hope for) what are the alternatives on offer that you would accept.......???

"Henley Homes, the developer, said it was only responsible for the private and shared ownership buildings, and that it had handed the freehold of the Wren Mews social housing block to Guinness Homes, a social housing company. It said this is a standard practice when there are different tenures on one development."

No it bloody isn't. We manage both private and social rented so we can use the profit from the private rented properties to subsidise the socially rented properties.

Also we charge different service charge rates for different tenancies, we don't block off communal areas because somebody is paying less ffs. we get complaints sometimes when somebody finds out their neighbour is paying less and we can't tell them precisely why due to data protection, but we just get on with it.

It pisses me off another housing association using standard practice as an excuse when we get along fine not doing it!!
