It's a measure of the lack of support for and opposition to the brexit that may or not be delivered compared with that the campaigners were spouting off about in 2016. The referendum, as all are, was advisory it took an act of parliament to make it law. Laws can be repealed article 50 can be revoked and should be. Brexit doesn't have a parallel petition, there is a march but what a farce. Nigel the new Wally. The strength of feeling will be apparent on Saturday.

I'm non UK but a UK citizen, born in the General, live in the Netherlands have a vote and qualify to sign a petition as do many thousands of others. Your argument is flawed nothing you say has any verifiable sources all guff.

calm down Imps! It's ok the EU 27 have changed their wording on today's meeting. They meant 22nd of May 2040 not 2019!
So you are saying that every signatory from outside of the UK is eligible to sign? I can accept that. And that the total does not include any duplicate names? No people that use different e-mail addresses and any old postcode to vote numbers of times?
It has now crashed again as the BBC and ITV give it more publicity. Sky have stated it is the largest ever petition in volume, clearly only having a few months memory because the Stop Trump one was bigger and the 2016 2nd referendum one got 4.2m votes. Of course they were both acted on with Donald Trump being banned and a second referendum being held.
This one has a long way to go to the 4.2m and a vast distance to reach 16m. Just people making themselves feel good and "part of the crowd."

Really Imps., have to ask where is the leave response to this petition or the Saturday peoples vote gathering? Trump and USA so what? Irrelevant different voting numbers v % WTF, When it comes to it , given the number of signatures your eligibility argument, email addresses and old postcodes is daft just bloody daft.

Why does there need to be a leave "response" to this petition? Is it a Cheggars plays pop competition, who fills up the tube with the most liquid from buckets with holes in?
Number of signatures I'm not overly arguing with. It is the emphasis on this as something that means anything. Even if after duplicates are taken out it is a million (and rising) it does not mean anything. Who cares other than the childlike ravers that are getting excited about it? Why is there a petition from something that has already been discussed?
Laughable you all think it is such a "thing."
Did the 1.8m "stop Trump" petition actually stop Trump?
Did the 4.2m "2nd referendum" petition actually deliver a 2nd referendum?
They are meaningless for this sort of thing. They are only worthwhile for things that are not being discussed or are off the parliament agenda.

I happen to agree with May - Parliament has let us down. However, I would put her in that too - the number one person to let us down as it was her job to sort out the mess.
I cannot understand anyone happy that we are leading ourselves down this point of no return and total destruction.

You judge me by your own thought process. I couldn't care less about it. The Brexit issue is already being debated. The point of the parliament petition pages are to get things to be debated. These kind of petitions are pointless because they are asking MPs to debate something they are already debating.
