Just out of interest, maybe @ImpSaint could start one demanding we leave next Friday with no deal, just to see what the Will of the People actually is?
Have you seen the datafile on it though? It has the usual thousands and thousands of signatures from non UK. Vatican City, Russia etc.
Don't need to. This one will be less than 17.4m and much less than remain got in the referendum. Another pointless exercise. To be honest next week will probably see the parliament choose between revoke and no deal. That is what Macron is gambling on....nasty chap that he is, you've all voiced your opinion on gambling with this subject!!!
Indeed. 1million are UK signatures. Whether they are 1 million different people I have no idea. Still like Leadsom says, if it gets over 17.4m signatures then it will get it's moment in parliament.
I assume Moscowshire must be in the Russia count which is 20. Not very high, strange how they get blamed all the time
At least the Yanks can’t laugh at us. Kiwis actually coming out of recent events looking quite good though. Who is the stupidest of the English speaking peoples?
I doubt it. Lots of people getting excited about it. Like they got excited about how they stopped Trump from coming here with a similarly high count on a petition.
Actually I didn't , I just had this vision of getting another 22 million notifications … I can dream can't I ?
It would help if the Petition website didn’t keep crashing because of the volume of traffic, but it’s possibly the fastest growing e-petition in the UK ever. Don’t let that stop you starting a Leave one though Imps, you know it’s the Will of the People.
Me start a petition? very funny. You lot can keep on getting excited thinking that a petition will overturn a referendum. Leadsom already addressed a question on it earlier in the house. Straight answer saying they would take notice of it if it reached 17.4m. Laughable that people are signing something that there will already be a debate on if it comes to that point next week. They will have achieved nothing. If the deal goes through it won;t get debated. If it doesn't go through then next step I would think is debating a longer extension and a referendum. If they get voted against there will undoubtedly be something about nodeal vs revoke before the leaving date. Won;t be because of a petition.
he doesn't look like a stand-up comedian but he makes me laugh: Brussels Quote of the Day: When will you lose patience? Jean-Claude Juncker: "I didn’t even know I had this much patience"
