Since its come up. Clothing is definitely an issue feminists are split on. Some seem to think wearing less clothing is objectifying yourself for men while others seem to think covering up is being controlled by men or even that they're forced into it.

I think it's just a personal choice and people shouldn't criticise eachother so much over it. We might find it strange some Muslim women cover so much but there are women in tribes who wear next to nothing who would think the same way about us. People simply have different views on modesty.

Certainly no reason to go around insulting other cultures Boris...

So that's Trump directly implicated in two felonies by Michael Cohen (his fixer and former chair of the Republican National Committee):

While I support the Trump out stuff, it pains me that after Trump there will be a "forget WHY the western world is having these problems" era,

I doubt that will be the case Imps. Ten years of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer has created massive volatility in the democratic world, just as it did in the 1930’s. America needs another Roosevelt, while the last thing Europe needs is another Mussolini or Hitler; what will actually happen is anybody’s guess, but there can be no return to ‘business as usual’, nor can there be any redemption in right wing populism of the type peddled by Trump or Farage.

Maybe not, but you have to look at the historical contex. The period 1945-1979 saw unprecedented social mobility in Western democracies, greater equality than at any time in history, plus a prevailing philosophy of mutual responsibility and collective endeavour.

All that went into reverse in the UK when Margaret Thatcher came to power and ripped up the post-war social contract; Blair tried and failed to find a middle way that benefited everyone; but the last 10 years have really ripped the guts out of the prospects for the next generation middle and working class people.

So yeah, we will be paying the price of the last 10 years for a generation or more.

Unfortunately Trump will well protected by the Republicans. If they lose some power in this year’s election maybe something will happen.
 
I do find it funny how the vast majority of the much hated 1% is now made up of professional sportspeople, the Hollywood elite, any half decent singer and the head honchos of liberal social media companies. In the US the top 1% only needs a joint household income of 500.000. The left eats itself first, I hope they get what they are crying for and the get the chance to pay 80% tax.

You're confusing liberalism and socialism there.

Liberals often hate tax while socialists might want to restrict social media so they're often opposed.
