Except for a friend's husband who works in the City and was told at lunchtime that his job was moving to Dublin. They have to decide what they're going to do; they can't sit back on their arses and smoke a cigar in the smug belief that they've done the right thing for Britain. It's tearing them apart. That's the reality.
I'm feeling bad enough about this as it is, don't tell me I've got to link arms with Helen too?![]()

Now we can all turn our attention to the Spanish Elections, the second batch in six months. The current PM, Rajoy is just about as popular as Cameron has been for the past year. However, unlike DC he will be laughing as all the voters will be at the beach except those who vote PP. I suspect many in the UK will want to swop Bull**** Johnson for Rajoy by November.
I vote "Leave." NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!

Article which sums up my view....despite being written by a socialist. Some people have such a sense of righteousness...usually those on the left....they can never understand that people can feel differently from themselves and have every right to. As a Tory, I recognise that others are socialist, but the far left think that anyone who votes Conservative is equivalent to a *****phile. As this article says, great to talk to like-minded people....we all do that....but remember others are different.
After Brexit (it could take years) there will be some good things and some bad things....people who care about the country will pull together and sort this out. As for the hysterics who want to go elsewhere, please do, it's a free country.
Well I have to say I am really looking forward to all the extra money that is going to be sploshing around because of all the savings we are going to make. The NHS will think it's Christmas come early! I am particularly looking forward to holding all those leading the Leave campaign to account for the promises they have made. I doubt I will have much opportunity, however, because they will scapegoat everyone else before accepting responsibility. Outrageous how the old have sold out the young. There is only one positive in this result - there is now no need for UKIP and all it's divisive mantra. My kids are fuming because they have 70 years to suffer the consequences whereas those who voted for leaving (in the majority) only have 16 years. One thing that I will be campaigning for as the economy collapses is means tested benefits for all pensioners, so that my children will not be funding the well off as they struggle to survive financially.
I don't think it's going to happen, but if Trump wins I don't want to hear a single word of complaint from anyone in Britain. You just did something even more boneheaded than electing Trump, based upon similar thinking as Trump voters. And in doing so, you increased the likelihood of a Trump win.
On behalf of the other mods I would like to apologise for posting on a closed thread. This was started by me, inadvertently, when I posted how I felt about the result, not realising that TSS had already closed the thread. We can do that you see, post on closed threads that is. It's never been an issue before, and it isn't one now either as far as I can see. To those of you shocked and appalled at the unfairness of life, I urge you to go outside and breathe the fresh air.
Until they release voting breakdowns by demographic and by age etc you have no basis to assume it is pensioners and baby boomers that have vote out at the expense of the youth. All I have seen is YouGov polls. Peter Kellner proudly announced the last poll before the vote closed as a 52-44 victory for remain.
The picture I see see in my mind is that the breakdown of leavers goes much younger than the media are trying to suggest. Not everybody under 24 is a University neo-liberal.
I think if they could give an actual age breakdown it would shatter those statements that this was old guys that ruined it for the young. I am 41. I would've vote the same age 29. No-one really cared about Europe pre 2004 to my knowledge at least it didn't register on my radar until that time when freedom of movement started to impact people's jobs.
People need to get a grip with all their doom mongering and nasty hate filled words towards anyone that dares think differently to them. The fact of the matter is that we cared more and a lot of remainers did not bother to vote. Leave were always going to win this referendum if they were within distance because a lot of remainers just couldn't be bothered to vote where LEavers were more more passionate and enthusiastic about the whole issue. I don't know anyone who didn't vote. but then I only know 2 people that voted out. My Mum and Dad might have too but they keep their votes to themselves.
Look again. It's up for the week. Pound is recovering. Hardly the disaster you're touting.
