"Gathering nuts in May" describes the potential leadership candidates nicely.

Even at the height of his popularity, UKIP got one of two seats. The BP party will get zilch at the next election.

STOP! Ok it was vaguely amusing but it's getting silly now. Brexit party supporter pours black cherry yogurt down his pants and claims he was assaulted.

UKIP were never as high in % as BP are, and both the Tories and Labour were much much stronger, able to hold on to both remain and leave voters through their messaging. Take half the leave voters of each party (15% Labour, 30% Tories) and you will end up with 30-40 BP seats. UKIP was never able to reach BP % and the current political landscape is much different to 2015.

I'm sure you know which war that is. Do Americans look back on that as a win or a failure?

The question and answer in this clip shows not a lot has changed in terms of many people's opinions, whether politically or on the street. Thatcher's reply is what you still hear now and what I still think is true (and has been shown to be true during the financial crisis) while others think is not.

This was from one of her last speeches before the "pro-Europeans" pushed her out of office.

Tony Blair is thinking about throwing his name in the hat to become Tory Leader again, and subsequently Prime Minister.

Blair, who was the most popular Conservative Prime Minister since Margaret Thatcher, has been dying to start a war for ages.

If elected, Blair has promised to begin a war with Europe over Brexit, after discovering that the EU may have weapons of mass destruction.

‘George Bush has told me to invade Europe,’ said Blair.

‘And God. He said it, too,’ added Blair.

Brian Monteith (born 8 January 1958) is a Scottish public relations consultant, politician and commentator, who was a Conservative Member of the Scottish Parliament between 1999 and 2007. He is a candidate for the Brexit Party in the North East England constituency at the 2019 European Parliament election in the United Kingdom.

Following the 2019 European Parliament election, Monteith's candidature caused controversy when it transpired that he had listed a French address as his principal place of residence on his nomination papers, and he refused to be drawn on whether he planned to move to the North East region if elected

In all seriousness, the UK could do with a good dose of Tony Blair whatever his alleged allegiances. And whatever his failings, the US would be better off with one of the Bushes than the present nasty one.

Hope there is a good supply of milkshakes ready to rain down on his Imperial Highness, Donald Trump for his forthcoming visit to Portsmouth.
