Money that is staying with money earned by knowing who you know. It isn't just the Labour party that know how to work the quango and NGO system or PFI / Preferred partners deals. Jeremy's fortune owes a lot to his family connections which have tied into his position and his companies' "success."
Can't stand Jeremy Hunt. Another that has reached the top through "who you know" and "who can play the system" best.
This article might enlighten a little but I like this unbiased statement in the article the best:
The truth is that none of our triumvirate of Westminster Parties has the majority citizen in mind when formulating policy. The Libdems represent slavish support for Brussels and all its works. Labour thinks equality is about affirmative, favouritist action for noisy minorities. And the Tories think they work for anyone with money and power. Brick by brick, the Wall of Class knocked down during the 1950s has been replaced by the Barrier of Influence in the 21st century. Merit? It doesn’t even get a look in. Decency? That’s for wimps.

It's interesting that when I've suggested similar to colleagues and friends there is quite a lot of resistance, people don't want to believe it.
With regard to Mr Hunt, he's been portraying himself as a anti-bullying champion over the last week or so regarding social media and (much needed) support for children affected by 'alcoholic' parents. It's just a shame no one's mentioned his repeated refusal to allow junior medics the right to whistleblow in the NHS, surely one of the most bullying employment tactics in current use.
Jeremy Hunt's name is spelt wrong
and I would not believe the sincerity in his speech if he was saying he loved money!!! However, if you don;t want to believe the accusations against the Clintons then you can't believe the Hunt ones either. Similar type of setup. financial gains from political decisions and very handy influence within senior government with family members all benefitting as well. Amazing that he "inherits" the safe seat his relative held. Amazing his family have high positions in business and organisations that coincidently benefit from political decisions or state funds. Not just him though. The whole of politics across the world is riddled with people in politics making decisions that they benefit from themselves. Mercian citizens like me still have to vote in the UK elections and be saddled with a select few that are only in it for themselves.With regards to my rant you picked up on. We are our worst enemies. We judge our standard of life by what we have, do or are surrounded with and that leads to us subconciously ignoring what really matters. Our children will have it worse. I know people don;t like Rod Liddle but in one of his books he says a very simple but very true thing. He said something like "Children these days are deprived of one of the most precious things that we grew up with............Boredom."
And this is very true. Is it children's faults? Nope because the current generation of parents equally do not do boredom. Every minute is filled with something. We ourselves are to blame even if it is presented through every modicum of media that we should have and do everything it is us that "buys" that argument we are presented with and it is us that think that we should fill our children's time up.
There is no way back because society as a whole buys into this and I would lay money on most of the mental health problems in this country being due to our own minds not being happy because we are judging ourselves against what we are told the perception of "where we should be" is. A sense of failure en masse because we are not living up to what we are presented as "being normal."
Even with my boys they have the same problem I had.........autism (aspergers) however when I was a child that didn't exist. I struggled in lots of subjects but was still above average. My kids know what they have and are pandered to because of it. They are constantly told that they will have problems with x and y and my battle is constantly telling them they are not struggling with x and y because of their autism. They are struggling with x and y because they are being told it is because of autism. Aspergers can make languages and imagination/role play very difficult but it does not make it impossible whereas the schools and authorities accept that they are doing badly in certain subjects because of autism and my boys will trot that out "can't do it."
So I have to battle the whole system on this because I know through experience that the whole premise of this argument is wrong. Yes you are finding English and German difficult but you are not bottom of the class in these subject because of autism. You are bottom of the class because you are blaming autism and not trying to "find a way" to improve. Excuse making. Not expecting them to be world beaters but at least should be average. When you are at the top in English and other logical subjects like science, design etc then you are clever. autism will hinder your English and German but you should still be hitting average with the obvious intellect shown by the maths and science grades.
Across the board there is this excuse making whether it be autism or just where you should be in life, how much money you should have, what your standard of living should be and instead of blaming ourselves for believing the hype, believing that we should all have a near perfect life we are never really happy with anything. Thus everybody is always putting themselves under pressure, themselves under stress because they are not living up to their own unrealistic expectations that they have been convinced of through constant bombardment of "how life should be."
More money doesn't improve that because more money just becomes the new "norm" and thus you then need more to advance. We could hand out all the money in the world and we could take everybody out of "poverty" however that will not improve the situation really because until the whole of society breaks this obsession with self and worth based on a material "what you have" then the spiral never ends. We just focus on things we can blame everything for. It's those at the top not us. They are greedy we aren't. Do we ever think "I was going to redecorate the lounge but I'll give that £200 to charity instead?" Nope, they can have something AFTER I've served my needs. No different to the rich. Greedy bankers are to blame not me wanting this year's colours. Ooh the latest smartphone is out, need, need, need.
Same with me to some degree. I get what the system foolishly gives me. A vast hoard because my kids being a bit more awkward than "the norm" need help in the form of MONEY. Do I give it to charity? Nope, I am selfish and put it all into their child trust funds to hopefully help them have a head start in the money obsession they will join as adults. £9k a year we don't need that we are told we do need. £3k each a year at the moment and they will likely have no Uni debt if they go. They will need it because they will be constantly told that they are hard done by, that they deserve better and that is someone else's fault all the time.
My elder daughter, who is now 31 and a mother of 2, was diagnosed with a confusing number of autistic type ailments and having ovoid eyeballs which meant she couldn't read the black / white board at school. Her eyes and her possibly over-reactive temperament don't seem to have had an impact on her adult life. Maybe because a fuss was never made about it and it never entered my head to claim money from anyone because of it?
Like me then. No fuss because it "didn't exist" back then so you found ways to get round your weeaknesses.
I didn't claim anything. We were struggling to deal with the eldest's "tantrums" so looked for help. We wanted practical help. What we received was directions to websites and a bucketload of cash...........because like everything else the cure is money............to sort out a problem where you can't take a kid anywhere for fear he will curl up into a ball for a couple of hours and refuse to move at all while roaring like a lion.
So with money we couldn't use it went into the trust funds and we eventually learned how to deal with it as well as him maturing out of that stage.
The only practical help we got was a couple of social workers that ended up holding up their hands and saying "this is way beyond my expertise" followed by an expert form filler to make sure we got an amount that should be going to someone that is wheelchair bound. Absolutely ridiculous. With number 2 son as soon as he got a diagnosis the form filler appeared at my door (paid for by the government who fund his NGO) and the money started to arrive a month later. Absolutely ridiculous.

What I take exception to are the words, "closest ally." Everyone should be our ally including Iran, so it is disgusting that BJ chooses to differentiate between the different nations.

I am pleased they are talking , but pretty sure I read somewhere that the reason the North is being so peacefull , is that their testing station blew up ?
Normally I pretty much agree with him however I haven't read his comments r.e. Windrush.

He thinks like me on equality meaning equality and not discriminating the other way or treating people differently. A bill should not be "aimed" at a demographoc because they are the majority of perpetrators. It should be a law that covers everybody. There should be no law that "protects women." There should only be laws that protect everybody, whether that be from domestic violence or anything else.
So not read his comments and at this moment before searching them out my natural assumption is that he has said something that "right on" people purposefully choose to jump on a snippet of to blur lines, say he means something else or attack him for something that was never meant at all but purely a false correlation. Like Lammy lying about the number who would be dead from Grenfell. Like Abbott saying the windrush scandal wouldn't have happened if they were white faces and ignoring the large numbers of...............white faces also caught up in the scandal. Like all the Labour Blairites hiding behind their new found campaigns against anti-semitism when they are accused of using it to attack Corbyn, announcing their long standing fight against anti-semitism.
I know Davies is another that likes to make a bit of money dubiously on the side but then he isn't alone. They are all at that.

Why not? Will not taking it change anything? May as well go to my children's future............after all when I stated above that the money obsession and selfishness of western humans I didn't exclude myself from that.
