How long before Elon changes the name of X to something more cuddly, like the Folksy Observer?
    Except in Ukraine of course.

So when trump gets in to power, immediately ends the wars and gets the world’s economy roaring, he deserves no credit?

What Trump will do is end America's involvement in wars. He may even get the US economy moving, by raising import tarriffs so high that no country will be be able to sell things to America. What he won't do, and has no interest in doing, is involve himself in anything outside the borders of the USA. The world can get lost, as far as he's concerned. Except golf courses in Scotland, maybe.

Do you honestly think Putin thinks “oh now Trump is in, I’d better stop everything”

Or does he think “here’s an opportunity I can take advantage of”?

Genuinely mate, if you believe it’s the former, you have no place calling anybody “low IQ” (I mean, you shouldn’t be doing that anyhow, but still).

I think Putin respects and fears Trump a lot more than he respects and fears Biden or Harris. And that makes a big difference.

All of politics is about negotiating what’s best for your country. A point which British politicians seem to have forgotten.

I think that ending the war is in everyone’s interest.

I’m not sure he respects or fears Trump (or anyone actually), but he will analyse the situation and see there’s an opportunity with Trump, that wasn’t there with Biden or Harris.

Of course everyone should want all the wars to end, but Trump will offer an out which is advantageous. Now whether you think that right/fair/dangerous/appeasing - well that’s up to your sense of morality and values.

All ifs and buts at this stage anyhow. I’m sure they’ll collude on a plan that makes them both look good on the surface though.

I’m looking forward to Trump doing all this peacekeeping by pulling the US out of NATO, I have to say.

I cannot believe the replies. So many people trying to twist facts to make Starmer responsible for something nothing to do with him.

If it helps (or makes things worse probably), it's pretty likely that most of them aren't even people.

Vaguely related but i've noticed a massive increase in Elon Musk puff pieces appearing on my Facebook in the last couple of days, pretty sure this totally occured organically...
