Here's a spot on analysis and dissection of why Tucker Carlson is such a danger to racial harmony in the States...
Good news. Labour held onto Batley in yesterday's by-election. So perhaps he won't be smirking so much this morning.
Is the tide starting to turn against Bozo and his Trump-light brand of right wing populism? Bloody hope so.
Two winnable by-election results in a row have gone against them. Too early to say for sure, but the never-ending saga of lies, corruption, and downright crime is perhaps beginning to dawn on the electorate.
I have an ex-colleague who is an ardent Brexiteer and loves nothing more than winding me up about the shortcomings of the EU, the fact that “we” gave Merkel (and, strangely enough, Macron) a “bloody nose” beating her team at football. Every message about sport seems to have a little jibe about how well “Boris” is doing, how much worse off we’d have been if Corbyn had been elected or if we’d chosen to stay in the EU. Now, for some reason I still like him as a friend, but it’s getting close to a time when I may have to tell him to **** off. The latest tirade is a massive splash (from the Torygraph I think) about the Nissan factory “investing” in the NE and the fact that I’d warned him that the car industry was royally screwed by Brexit. Anyway, he chortles, you were SO wrong - this just shows we are better and don’t need “them” ….. I’ve just sent him this wonderful article (which, of course, won’t make the right wing media outlets) which completely destroys the whole argument. I know I won’t get a reply, as I never do when I disprove any argument for remaining or ask for a list of benefits (and “vaccine rollout” doesn’t stand up to scrutiny any more either) Please read this as I’d be interested in any comments! I mean “agreeing with Maggie?” Crikey! Cheers https://westcountrybylines.co.uk/has-it-come-to-this-agreeing-with-baroness-thatcher-over-nissan/
You'll never win a rational argument with a Brexiteer mate, it's a cult they've bought into. Ever tried arguing with a Jehovah's Witness? Forget it. I don't do Twitter or FB, but I blocked someone on WhatsApp today. Never done that before, but his relentless memes smirking at Merkel and Macron over the Euros weren't remotely ****ing funny. Re the article, I'm not opposed to some state subsidy to keep jobs in the country. It often works out cheaper than having whole communities on the dole. It's just a shame that, largely thanks to Thatcherite free market dogma, there's so little manufacturing left in the UK. Our recent upgrade to rolling stock on the railways saw all the new trains built in Germany; and wasn't the Queen Mary II built in Bremen? I suppose many Brexiteers are expecting to see that process reversed.
The broader point is with state aid rules relaxed, Conservative MPs are basically free to divert taxpayers money to their own business interests and that of party donors.
Yeah, this lot appear to have no shame at all. Not with the Wolf of Downing Street in number 10, pissing on the carpet and chewing the priceless Persian rugs..
I missed this at the time but the Tories are already trying to stitch up the next election with less seats in the north and midlands and more in the south... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-57384795
Weaselly little **** - I hate him more than Johnson ….. all making a fortune off the back of the poor bastards who were tricked and swindled into Brexit. He deserves to be strung up somewhere. Bet he pays virtually no tax too …..
He’s definitely jumping on the bandwagon, he doesn’t even like football that much. He is a rugby fan.
