I have to say that the Labour campaign has been quite shambolic. With FPTP it's essential that the Remain majority isn't fractured. If you add the percentages in all these polls Remain parties ( assuming Labour is) account for 53-55% of the vote. The LD's have done deals with Greens and PC but Labour insist on going it alone and have never succeeded in gaining more than 34%, in many polls much less. We are in the last chance saloon now, unless we have cooperation between Lab and LD we are going to get Pfeffel for five years barring miracles such as an assassination or, more likely looking at him these days, a coronary.
Have you not noticed? The LibDem vote has collapsed. There’s not much mileage at all in tacit pacts between them and Labour. And what happened to the People’s Vote pressure group btw? Are you going to blame Labour for the collapse of that?
On Brexit, Corbyn is to be congratulated for achieving a position that every Labour activist can stand by; Labour have maintained party discipline far better than the Tories (who’ve had to lock half their recognisable faces in a cupboard for the duration). Jo Swinson’s Revoke masterstroke has blown up in her face.
The combined weight of the entire media, including the BBC and the Jewish Chronicle, have made this an impossible election for Labour. How in God’s name do you get your message across when the media is so utterly determined to sell your opponent’s narrative?
