Another masterstroke by Oliver Letwin! He has tabled a procedural motion which, if allowed by Speaker Bercow, will almost certainly pass. It’s to ensure the vote on the full Withdrawal Agreement is delayed until all the accompanying legislation has passed. This will obviously mean an extension is necessary, and it also means that a flurry of amendments to the Withdrawal Bill will be tabled. Effectively, MP’s will only “consider” the WA tomorrow, rather than approve or reject it.

Absolutely right

The fundamental truth behind the parties and the reason that working class people should never vote Tory and even more certainly not for these Tories

So is failing to honour the referendum result ignoring the will of the people?

The news is being distorted every minute of every day in order to manipulate ordinary people into voting for politicians and a Brexit which is massively against people's interests. A 2nd referendum at least allows the people to actually vote in their own best interests should they choose to do so

When Murdoch started buying into media I knew there was a problem, I didn't realise it would be this big a problem

Democracy is broken

I feel like the news reports are spending more and more time talking about “people just want to get it done, either way”, in a way that suggests that they are actually supporting that, and not enough time questioning why the PM has deliberately removed the protection of workers rights, for example, from the previously agreed deal.
This in itself is a major story that should be hammered home at every opportunity to the working class, because their future hangs on this.
It’s one thing to let things run, and hope for the best when everything is on a level playing field, but losing the protection of the EU and being left in the hands of THIS Tory government, is playing with fire, and millions of workers stand to get burnt.

This isn't going to be entirely popular....Had Corbyn come right out against Brexit at the referendum they wouldn't have got it through. His " 7 out of 10" for the a EU was damning with faint praise. I just hope it's not Labour MP's who help this deal through tomorrow. If they do then I think Labour will drop to around 20% in the polls. I think that they are going to really struggle to get 200 seats in the next GE, and it's Pfeffel as will win them.

Leaving with this deal will put employment rights in this country back 30 years.

So certain sections of the media are praising the Good Lord's deal with the EU. I am sure these same outlets were gushing with praise for Churchill in May 1945 and presumably expected a Tory landslide in the wake of the Great Man delivering victory. We know what happened next. Who is to say that Labour won't win again despite God the Son's absolutely victorious deal that will surely ensure any self respecting person to be feeding out the hand that has delivered a "victory" to savour?

There I was thinking I'd almost got a handle on events when it turns out the world might be saved by Oliver Bloody Letwin!

Hell, this brexit malarkey has thrown up some strange alliances. Talking to a very grand Scottish lady last night (obviously not in the pub) and she was incandescent with rage, pledging her support for an independent Scotland so that the Scots could enjoy the benefits of EU membership in the future like the good folk of Northern Ireland. Usually our conversation circles around the evil of the trade union movement and bringing back hanging for anyone who dares to vote Labour, so she's not your one nation Tory if you get my drift.

Cameron. For your own safety grow a beard and hide, man.

Gove trying to be outraged by the Letwyn amendment, because the Prime Minister has given his word that he won’t won’t backtrack on his promises.
Vote taking place now.
