Points Lost After 70th Minute?

I have read a lot about the number of points (NINE) that we have frittered away by conceding goals in the last five minutes of Championship games this season. Five more than any other side in the division according to todays BBC review of the upcoming Cardiff game. Those points would have put us in 11th place, rather than 18th.

I would be interested to know how many points we've thrown away by giving up goals from the 70th minute on..including injury time. And how many goals was that??? Anyone have those stats????

According to the players Slutsky spent only two practice sessions since July working on defense, focusing apparently entirely on attacking strategies. Adkins has a more balanced approach to coaching. And is emphasizing fitness!! Lets hope goals conceded from 70 minutes on drops dramatically.

Is that true about defence? No wonder we've struggled if true.
Even with those 9 points we'd be in striking distance of the play offs, ready for a good Xmas and kick on. Annoying.
 
Points lost this season between 70th minute and full-time - 14 (3 vs QPR, 2 vs Reading, 1 vs Preston, 2 vs Norwich, 1 vs Sheff Utd, 2 vs Ipswich, 3 vs Bristol C)
Points gained this season between 70th minute and full-time - 3 (1 vs Sunderland, 2 vs Barnsley)

Goals conceded/scored between 70th minute and full-time - 18/12
 
Thanks Al. That is incredible. That net 11 points given away after the 70th minute, and the impact on our goal differential, would put us in 7th place on 33 points and one place off the playoffs. The comment about Slutsky's complete lack of focus on defensive tactics/strategy in practice was reported on here this week Chazz, and came from one (or more) of the players. If true its a remarkable condemnation of his coaching style, particularly with several inexperienced loanees in the back four...truly annoying as you say!!!

But Adkins seems to be refocusing our playing style....which gives hope for the future. The Cardiff match will tell us more about how that's going.

If we didn’t concede goals or give away any pints after 70 minutes that would be miraculous. So blaming Slutsky for all 11 net points lost and saying we should be 7th is a bit silly. Blaming him for putting out a team that lacked confidence to see a game out is a better suggestion.

Nice slip there al. Bit greedy but I'm like that too. So is tash and askew and Ben.

Bloody hell. I didn’t know they give away pints after 70 minutes
Is that where everyone’s going to before the game ends then ?!

Only if you do points for us based on games lasting 70 minutes for us but 90 minutes for everyone else.
