Sevco bought the assets from Rangers. The seat this dude bought "for life" means nothing to them. I don't feel any extra sympathy for this creditor than I do for any other small business or individual investor into Rangers who will have lost their shares when the club folded. The difference is that this guy thinks he is some kind of special case. He clearly thinks it is ok for what he believes is still Rangers to bump everyone but think he should be exempt. **** him.

Derry City went bust after collecting season ticket money. A new club was formed. Like Sevco they pretend to be the same club as well. I had my own season ticket there last season. The new club honoured the season tickets. A nice gesture, yes. all those season tickets were sold by Derry to try and save the club.....it was a nice gesture by the new club.

Fair enough points...

I will always feel sorry for "normal" fans tho.

I normally do as well. I feel sorry for the customer service guy who has to deal with guys like that. It isn't that he's a hun, it's that it doesn't appear to have dawned on him that this would be a consequence of the club going bust. Even if that post was a fit of pique, He seems to have not even entertained the thought this might happen.

"I'm a bond holder and I received an email from the club telling me basically this is the last season my seat will be kept for me,I never got involved in the creditor stuff ,I never wanted a penny from the club all I wanted was a guarantee my seat that I bought and paid for was mines for life,I phoned the club this afternoon to ask them to clarify were i stood in regards me still owning my seat and to my utter disgust the plonker I was dealing with from customer services had the cheek to tell me I bought the seat from the old co and the newco wasn't honouring the deal, what the **** my own club using old co newco ****,to say I'm offended at the clubs stance is an understatement.why is the club not honouring the deal with bond holders? "

Bad day for the spastics.

aye co's that's genuine

Aye, wee squinty would've pumped £100m in to save the tottie-howkers?

Erm........ naw.

The wee man ghaped the papes, got them to buy shares at £3k and by the time he left, they were worth about £200 and he heads of to the Bahamas with 40m fat ones after investing £4m.

Former Celtic owner Fergus McCann has revealed that he pulled the club back from the brink of liquidation out of a sense of pride.

McCann oversaw one of the most successful financial rescue missions seen in Scottish football. In an interview with The Sun, McCann said: “It would’ve cost less, and left the previous owners with nothing, to go into liquidation.

“But it would also be humiliating for Celtic. So we paid all the bills.”

He added: “Celtic means the same to me as it does to other fans. I identify with the club and wish to be proud of it.”

That's the difference between us and them.

Correct.

Pay what is owed, don't pretend it didn't happen.

Fair play to him. That's why our club is playing the likes of Barcelona in the Champions League while the Huns will be lucky to last long enough to make it back to the SPL.

<laugh> Bitter Beel. Standard fare for those with a new club to have to support.

£3m more than anyone was willing to pump in to save Rangers, when the begging bowl went round, all the world's Blue Noses turned the other way and coughed.

How can they 'make it back' to somewhere they've never been?
