Closing down sale... It'll then reopen as a Chipotle Mexican restaurant but all the local Huns will insist it is still the same old Rangers shop because they transferred the history n that.

Scrub that.

According to the article, it will be automatic.

Should one team qualify for the Champions League, the other would be prevented from playing in the Europa League as they could meet in the knockout phase of the competition.

If both teams qualify for the same competition, the one with the higher Uefa co-efficient ranking would be allowed to enter at the expense of the other. As things stand, Newcastle are ranked 65 and Rangers are down at 101.

Like either will qualify

Newcastle are fifth just now, I think - they can qualify by being fifth or sixth.

Rangers are in with a shout of the Scottish Cup - you'd expect them to get to the quarters at least.

I'm sure it just means that Ashley will sell his stake in Newcastle as soon as he can.

Still, it's pretty extraordinary.

If this has happened before, I didn't know about it. I know there were questions about the amount of money Abramovitch gave to a Russian team (CSKA possibly?) via his gas company.

The Bold Billionaire is being held at Heathrow.

I think, if you're a religious person, you might want to offer up a wee decade of the rosary for a brave, brave man caught in a trap set by awfully sub-prime entrepreneurs.

Some of them are even cripple supervillain entrepreneurs.
