While everyone will be concentrating on aintree we will be having our own little battle in a field in Essex. Sum it up returns to the scene of the crime to try and steal a restricted race. Trouble is Trainer Tom Ellis triumphant at Aintree earlier in the week stands in our way. The ground is better than we’d hoped but is the same for everyone in the field so we’ll probably take our chance.I’ll try and put the link up to watch if anyone is interested.
Once again we return from the fields of Essex triumphant. After their triumph in the fox hunter at aintree the Tom Ellis trained Chongalola was a warm favourite for the restricted race. But Sum it up and team Pennock had other ideas. From the off in a four runner race Sum it up sat second or third and his jumping was straight and more assursed. Pretty much like his first outing he went three out and show a turn off foot and left the favourite stranded and jumping the last a couple of lengths up won easily. Needless to say we are on cloud nine. Thanks for all your support.
We now head into open company which gets harder . Our trainer Andrew Pennock says he’ll probably get a rating of about 101/2.
The journey continues tomorrow where we take Sum it up to parham in West Sussex to contest the intermediate race. The ground could be against him but he performed well on good ground last time out to win quite well. With a rating of 101 we are the horse to beat so looking forward to it.
Finally got a minute to read GoPointing, that intermediate race looks decent on their speed figures, be interesting to hear how many turn up and how you get on. Good luck and that’s not a bad part of the world to be visiting either!
Thanks Nass, we’ve just been lucky. Our trainer was hoping for a walk over and we would of qualified for Cheltenham without running, as it was we had to race. We have a plan to run at Stratford next month in hunter chase.
