SB where are you at the moment? Do you feel like a bona fide member of the Hoops Overseas? If so I'd like to hear about your efforts in trying to follow tomorrow's match.
At home today, but will be on a flight to USA during game tomorrow. This is due to my own bad planning - had neither registered that it was a Sunday match or that Monday is a Bank Holiday when I set this one up. Am now deeply unpopular at home. But the second I land I'll know the score ( texts from son and mates that will come through when the phone is turned on) and thanks to the magic of Apple and wifi will probably be on here checking out the reaction. To be honest being totally out of the loop for tomorrow may not be a bad thing.
But I would not classify myself as an Oversea Hoop, my home is here and I've got to a dozen or so games this year, could probably has seen more if I had overridden the guilt of not seeing enough of the non Rs fanatic half of my family ( the women). When I did live abroad, in the days before the Internet, it was very difficult to feel involved in what was happening and these periods were definitely the times of my weakest commitment, closely followed by when my kids were very young.
It was actually because he doesn't like any of the overseas fans. He made that quite clear on a number of occasions. His opinion and hes entitled to it.
He's definitely entitled to his opinion and to share it along as its not gratuitously offensive. Just as we are entitled to criticize, ignore or just laugh at his and others opinions. All part of the game.
