One of the most common statements on here, and you all know who you are, is people saying 'we need cover'. Presuming our first choice team is (not saying strongest):
Harper
Simmo
Collo
Saylor
Jose
Tiote
Barton
Nolan
Jonas
Shola
Best

Then our B team is:

Krul
Raylor
Willo
Kadar
Ferguson (Still waiting to see if he can play here - did well at LB against Accrington)
Smith
Guthrie
LuaLua
Vuckic
Lover
Ranger

And thats not including HBA, Ireland or Gosling, and theres still players left over...(Routledge on loan, Airey etc)
 
I dont understand the clamour to have Saylor back in the team? The last few days it seems everyone prefers him to Williamson who has outperformed him and has a better partenership with Colo.

Also we do need cover, look how young that B team is, and it includes Smith, who isnt even close to being able to cover Tiote.

*You could add Ireland in there, but his form this season has really been below par so I'm unconvinced by him but if he produces SOME of his Man City form then we'll have a top, top player on our hands(if we can sign him in the summer).

Perch(hopefully until the summer, Ferguson seems to be more of a LW to me)

Not bad, but we do need some GOOD cover, Ferguson, LuaLua and Vuckic are all unproven and inexperienced in this level, so loan deals for them in the summer will free up some space for 1 or 2 potential versatile QUALITY players(talking about the likes of Barnetta and Kranjcar). No average Championship player please(James Perch).

I agree, I loved Williamson last year in the CCC and then at the beginning of this season and of late he's been great. He's been one of our top performers when he's had a decent run of games.

One critisism on him though, when we concede a goal, he always seems to be the one out of position?

totally agree,personally think colo williamson gel better than saylor and colo.think williamson has been one of our best buys for ages.
