Can you have a sentence without a verb and starting with 'and'?

Asking for a friend.

Starting a sentence with and, as well as but, used to be frowned on when I was at school. Now it is generally accepted. Maybe a gerund would be in order.

The sort of friend people have when they ask Agony Aunts about sexual problems?

And I wouldn't know.

HCST Statement – False Alarm – Birmingham City Match

We were contacted after Saturdays game versus Birmingham City by numerous members and supporters, including carers for disabled supporters in relation to an automated evacuation alert that was broadcast over the stadium tannoy system at half time.

We have contacted the club and they have responded stating that they, “are in consultation with SMC with regards to this. A response to supporters will be given in due course”.

We thank the club for their email and look forward to their response.

Update – False Alarm Birmingham City Match
Further to our statement on 6th March following the automated evacuation alert that was broadcast over the stadium tannoy system at half time, which stated the club were, “in consultation with SMC with regards to this. A response to supporters will be given in due course”. We, unfortunately, have to inform you that, at this time, no response has been forthcoming from the club.

The Trust expresses concerns for the clubs supporters especially the most vulnerable following the debacle and have not been reassured by the lack of response by Hull City. We call for a robust review by the City Council and the SMC urgently.

Par for the course. Bloody disgusting club management.

That's good. Milestones are important markers. But they do seem disappointing. That's life, not a criticism.

Strategy is one thing, principles are another. That is why I am a member of our Trust and will take another 3 years. Taking a life membership seems lazy. I would rather pay a tad more and be nudged. But each to their own.

We all make wrong calls, but doing so because you have good intent is honourable. Time has passed and our opinions clarify with that time.

Bielbs has earned my respect. It a not a tough thing to do, but he has through a tortuous route. Tenacity is a great quality. Beyond a doubt we should all respect that. He deals with bad people on our behalf.

Banter is sometimes amusing and sometimes destructive Perhaps everyone should draw a line in the sand. Forums (such as this) are great for some things: we are amused, we bicker, we discuss our team. But this is not the way to reach the folk who once cared about our club. We need to reconnect in Hull & ER. We're an eclectic bunch on here, but our club needs something more focused and partisan.

It is time to reinvent the wheel.

I've realised I do still care. But how do we make it as effortless as can be possible? That's the true challenge going forward, not the bloody Allam family, who are without true worth.

There'll be opinion on this. Good.

As long as the Trust promise to be inclusive and not drink champagne.

I paid about £150 for one years ago and junior waltzed off with it.

Though, to be fair, he can actually wear it.
