Why Whittingham why? Maybe he wants to get them to the prem http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11688/8027787/Whittingham-commits-to-Cardiff
No ambition thats why, he has been one of the standout players in this league for years and if he wanted to he could have moved to the prem along time ago. Either he doesnt think he will be good enough in the prem or he doesnt have the ambition to go as far as possible
Think Cardiff have a really good chance to get to the Premier League this year (then again, we've all been saying that for the past 5 or so), but if they don't then I think Whittingham has probably missed his chance- at 27 he's not that young and decent Premier League sides tend to like to buy young attacking players.
I heard tonight Nigel will make a bid this week for James Chester. Nigel thought his best chance of getting him was near the deadline so he has waited.
No im being genuine. Thats what i heard. It wouldnt surprise me as with Beckford probably off we will have a bit of cash to spend
I think it'll be a couple of Seasons before the Allams allow a player to be sold to Leicester. Unless of course there's another release clause like Koren's where a certain amount will be accepted no matter what and the Club can have talks with the player. In fairness, would Chester get first team at Leicester? Because in his interviews - and of course he could just be saying this - he says he loves it at City because he plays week in, week out and that's all he wants to do. He doesn't want to go somewhere to sit on the bench. So unless he would get first team, I don't think he'll join.
I'm not saying this to stir the argument further. But did you really expect Chester to come out and say 'I hate it at Hull'? Seriously, i've stopped reading player interviews. They just regurgitate the same old ****e.
That's a fair point because they're always going to say what the fans want to hear. You can tell through what the player says, and his tone, whether they're being legitimate or not. Chester sounds happy, looks happy and when I've seen him at training, he looks at home. He's only 23 and should hit 100 appearances for us at the end of this Season.
Haha how many times do players say their happy and going no where, only to see them leave within a week. Chester would walk in the first team here.
Very good signing, far more impressed by Forest's than ours currently, the likes of Halford, Harding, Guediora, Cox and now Lansbury are all great signings at this level, think they could actually have a decent chance this year.
Different case when the players whole family have just moved into the area and are all settled though. Feel free to come in for Chester, I think you all know how it will go though.
My mate who lives in reading working at the rugby (same stadium as the football) seems to be under the impression that we have enquired about Le Fondre and have been told he is not for sale but could be loaned out later in the season.
