Every thread about this subject throws up the a large selection of names, some of which I like, some I don't and some I've never heard of. Heres how I rate the players we've been linked to or have been suggested on this forum

I'll edit in any players you remind me of that I know enough about to comment on

Pavalychenko
The guy I want us to go after most. Big strong good in the air can hold the ball up, pretty much a like for like replacement for Carroll (but not as good obviously). Shouldn't be to hard to get him of spurs because he's not first choice and they'll be after a big name striker in the summer, unless there sore about not getting Carroll

Doyle
Another striker I'd like. Live in Shropshire so I'm surrounded by weasels fans and hear a lot of praise for him and to be honest I have been impressed with him. Hes very good at holding the ball up and bringing other players into play which, with our midfield could be very usefull and he will want to leave a championship club

Shaun wright Phillips
Is a pile of ****

Peter Crouch
See SWP

Ireland on a permentant deal
Depends, was very impressive at Man City but do we really need another midfielder. If we sell Jonas then I suppose we do and because he's out of favour at Villa

Alliadiere
Anyone who Wenger dropped as a kid isn't gonna be very good. And since then he hasn't exactly set the world on fire

Connor Wickam
We've got enough strikers that we're not sure whether or not they can do it in the prem. I'm sure he'll be good but lets not take the risk

Bendtnar
I think he'd be good for us. I really like him as a player and as a person for some reason and although i think he'll be good, Arsenal really dont suit what hes good at in my mind. He actually does have the touch of a trampoline at times. Also They already quoted us 12mil was it? That was pushed up a bit because they new we were despourate but still. And i dont reckon theyd sell anyway

N'zogbia
Very good but such a twat and squad morale is one of our stronest points and sonething that i believe will keep us clear of the bottom 3

Elmander
Good player, however he's 30, Bolton won't want to sell and he hasn't looked so good recently since the begining of the season

Carlton Cole
I just don't like him. Not really good at anything IMO, sorry if people disagree

Barnetta
From everything i've heard i'd be more than happy to have him although i can't say i've ever seen him play

I'd be very happy with Pavlyuchenko, my only concern is would Ashley really want topay big money for a player nearing 30, knowing he'll never see a return on his investment?

Pavalychenko
I'd have him, as long as he doesn't cost us too much, because he is guilty of running hot and cold.

Doyle
I'd have him for 4 million and no more.

Shaun wright Phillips
Agree with your view

Peter Crouch
He's a decent player, but Spurs wouldn't take less than around 10 million, and i'd only pay 5 million for him.

Ireland on a permentant deal
I have been saying this for ages - Agreed.

Alliadiere
No.

Connor Wickam
No.

Bendtnar
He's ****. He scores 5 amazing goals a season and does **** all else.

N'zogbia
He's got an attitude problem, but it doesn't mean he's a complete prick and will beat the **** out of all our players. A good signing.

Elmander
His contract runs out at the end of the season, and we can sign him on a free <ok>

Carlton Cole
aka Shola Ameobi.

Barnetta
???
