Footballers are really original so the nick names are always thought out... add a Y on the end of most, an Ah on some and ers on the rest. An O can also be slapped on. To answer your original question, Jacky or Jacko will be the Wolves players name.

Best one I can remember was from Cricket.

In the early nineties Mark Waugh, despite his talent, could not really get into the Aussie team alongside his brother Steve, who was making a huge impact and would soon be captain.

Mark became known in and around the team as 'Afghanistan' the forgotten war!

I hope Ndidi at Leicester is known as "Yes" by his team mates

As mentioned earlier Fitz Hall's is probably the best one

In other sports you get some good ones - cricketer Chris Old was known as chilly, rugby player Martin Offiah was known as Chariots

My personal favourite is the late Justin Edinburgh known affectionately as "Musselburgh"

Alan Smith (Ex Leeds, Manchester & Newcastle United) was called Smudge wasn't he?

It's the laws of footballer that any and every player with the surname Smith is known as Smudge

Coincidentally the Alan Smith that played for Arsenal & Leicester was also nicknamed 'Smudge', so it's either a surname Smith thing or a Alan Smith name thing hah
