Barnesy has jumped on that kid's tweet hasn't he.

Unbelievable stuff.

Always get the impression he wants to be seen to have contacts and I just dont think any local journo does any more
Yeah I get that feeling too.

FWIW I've had a grade three hamstring tear and there wasn't a chance in hell I was jogging off the pitch the way Stewart did. I can't see how it can be grade 3 unless the guy is so physically strong and can withstand pain so well that he can jog off like he did.

That’s what Irn Bru does for you.

it had to happen, i dont care if simms was knocked down the pecking order a wee bit we should have made sure of broadhead imho (yeh, easy to say in hindsight of course) as he knew the lads, the place, the system and would have been a far better fit and able to lead the line on his own if needed, for all he looks like he will be a good, strong forward in the future, simms is still a little raw and should never be asked to be lead striker.

Feels like good news after the doom laden first reports, it is about Cirkin anyway. Real shame to lose Stewart but at least we can work out how to get the best of Simms in the meantime, I think he's a good player.

You can't just replace Stewart but we do have a wealth of attacking talent, we'll be ok with some finessing to the team.

Neither Mobray or Neil normally set their teams up with two up top, Neil even stated after the Bristol City match that he would continue with it because they worked so well together.
Stewart will be a massive miss for us but it will allow Mowbray to get back to his preferred system, and also get us another body in midfield.

Exactly! All this stuff about us not having enough back up up-front; Simms is the back up.

It was Broadhead's decision not to come because of where he believed he would sit in the pecking order

yup, i was well aware of that but had assurances been given i think he would have come..i would rather the club had pinned it's hopes on two players that knew the system and had proven they could score goals in this team than to rely on stewart going uninjured and a young lad still learning his trade for our first season back in the championship.

We'll definitely miss Stewart, what was it 10 goals in 13 games and the rest of what he offers, but I reckon Simms can do the job upfront with some quick players around him.

He's a big lad and I've not seen him getting pushed around or going to ground easily. Hold up play looks solid and barring one game where he looked like he had his boots on the wrong feet his touch is good as is his passing.

Agree, he did it kicking the ball, can't see how that would be a grade 3 ? though i'm not a doctor.

Well that’s a little bit better. Hopefully a good result at millwall might allay some fears, anxiety and down right panicking!

Don’t tell the twitter twats that. I said that and kept getting told we play 2 up front when we were only doing that due to it working.
