What's this thing about our main rivals being Wrexham? Everyone knows it is with Wigglesworth Wobblers.
remember if low wycombe then low jelly on the plate will never set. i think the name high, came to stick after some unknown supporter gave the squad a load of iffy prawns, and the wobblers have been yo yo'ing ever since. mega bog rolls are always carried to away matches er incase. jotp
he did save town from promo, followed by playoffs, followed by 12th and our chairman with a jumpy finger. some of us have short memories, but gt is an improvement. and chris- gashead the shrews do not bottle in or out unlike your director dunfords dairies. any one for a milkshake!
sorry please note an incorrect thread, should read simmo saved us from relegation, next season playoffs, next season 12th and sacked by jumpy chairman, but gt is big improvement
You were right first time AJ. With all the resources available to him in that first full season (inc a transfer record on Holt), he saved us from promotion.
just a side note, the link added to this thread at the start regarding our finances, thats crap we will be debt free soon as we sell our ground and get our new stadium plus please note, we had a £1 million loss but previous season was £1.7 million loss. debts improving
your ground? i thought you shared it with bristol rugby club, another club a shadow of its former self. rovers are up to their ears in debt, and come march 15th beware the ides of march, ready for a 10 points deduction?
So you will have a new ground with one of the worst pitches around thanks to the Rugby Club? Which means there won't be any decent football to watch, just hoofball! Nice.
Strange that you think that what is reported locally by the Bristol media and what your charman says is crap. The only way that the bank debt is being reduced is by more unsecured loans and that is his quote. Looks like you are "robbing Peter to pay Paul" With the present downturn in the economy, it could be a considerable time before you are able to maximise your assets. Shrewsbury were able to sell their own ground at the height of the property boom.
umm i think you miss understood my comment. i will explain it better for you. yes the debt was correct at the time and technically it still is the case however not as bad as it was due to the sell of hoskins. but our chairman has come out since that link and said that if we get our new stadium, we will be debt free. here is the link to prove it the new stadium will cost £40million and will be funded be privately funded not loans. also the sell of the current stadium which we will get around £25million will pay off debts and go towards the stadium and have money available to strengthen the squad. if and its a massive if, if we get the go ahead which is down to the council to get the planning permission then we will be debt free, so us losing £1million last year is crap as it make no difference as we will be debt free
So your owner(s) are providing £15m and not expecting it back? Who then owns the new stadium and grounds?
you will need a few bring and buy stalls,. jumblesales, save the lead on the roof. well that should all bring in 72.50 you could always raffle off matty h, milk bottles etc
Yes, remember him.....but he wasn't English! Where was he born? Can't remember/ Q: Where do the English cricket team stay in South Africa? A: With their parents!!!
