I would just like to say that it's great to see City back in the Premier League but I cannot celebrate as, well basically I'm a fraud. I don't go to the MKM, I don't pay my money, basically I'm still stuck in the Boothferry Park era. Yes I am on this forum but don't post on matches played, I am not entitled. Most of my information comes from this forum, as for the national press I gave up on them a long time ago. I read many comments, especially about redevelopements, and by far the biggest put downs of the city are in the HDM. Well I did read them but now I get a request to pay so no HDM.

Anything that brings good news about Hull interests me, and both Hull RFC and Hull KR have done that recently, glad the football side of things have returned the compliment. On Breakfast Time the other day there a brilliant, well for the BBC, documentary about Hull, but I was sceptical. In fact it was one of the best presented programmes that I have seen for a long time. Touching on stories about Artic Corsair and the Humber Light ship. we saw inside the new, when it's finished, whaling museum. All good stuff I'm glad to say.

Anyway back to football and congratulations to all involved in the promotion, I won't be at the KCom, MKM or whatever it is these days. But I will still follow them as I have done since 1957/58 season. So well done all of you who still go, religously in some cases, I experienced that thrill many a time as we waited outside the old YEB building on Ferensway at 11pm on a Friday night to take us to far away places like Ipswitch and London. Enjoy the ride in the Premiership, lets hope they do themselves justice.

Showing your age there by calling it the whaling museum.

Just watched the YouTube vid of our seasons' goals.....had kind of forgotten about Ndala til he popped up with his couple of goals, mad to think the lad has been promoted and relegated from the same division this year
Really liked him. Had we have been more dominant with the ball this year I feel he could’ve been key. Seemed a nice lad too

My story was my son - who I first took to the first league game at the then Kcom when he was six - had to go to his girlfriend’s friend’s wedding because she wouldn’t give him permission to come to the game. He was distraught. He’d missed Millwall away because his 170 loyalty points didn’t get him a ticket and had reached a compromise with his girlfriend that he could come to the final after the church service (missing part of the first half) but she backtracked with two days to go. So my wife kindly agreed to come for the first time since we were promoted at Walsall in ‘85 (I think) when she was disgusted by some Tigers fans doing monkey chants at one or more of Walsall’s black players, and called them out on it, shouting ‘shut up you racists’ or similar. Anyway after that inauspicious debut she stayed away for 40+ years but we both thoroughly enjoyed our day out at Wembley, with her joining in the singing when she could. In the excitement of the win she even said she’d like to come next year if I can get tickets for any games - but has since backtracked.
I always believe in compromise. If your son`s girlfriend doesn`t understand how opportunities like this come around once in one or two decades and that she should be glad for him to go, I don`t get it. She knows he will be at a wedding which he doesn`t want to be at, so why have him there. Must you always have your partner with you for everything? Could she not enjoy the wedding of her friend by herself and integrate and meet new people and have a good time on her own.

I can remember away fixtures at Cambridge,Colchester, Northampton, Rushden and Diamonds, Orient (famous 4-5 victory) and many others.

Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine getting to Wembley or the Premier League.

The last 20 years we have truly been spoilt. Long may it continue.
The early lot makes you appreciate it even more.

Your son needs some serious guidance tm

Slater and Coyle aren’t the same. Ones become excellent the other is a glaring weakness that should be first replaced by some 10m hotshot from France or something. Even Slater as good as he is struggles to control games at Champ level. Big upgrade needed next season in many areas for me.
Coyle still has a lot going for him. He can cross well with either foot - unlike Millar and Beloumi.

Belloumi absolutely can cross with his right foot, he’s stuck several good balls in there on the weak foot. Same with Millar.

Can’t actually recall Coyle ever attempting a left foot cross?

Ye, I mean it's just not going to happen is it.

Acun will end up bringing Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos out of retirement who will play three minutes a game each, we'll beat arsenal at the Emirates, sign some nutter from the Turkish League who will become a cult player and then spunk millions on a young fringe England player, who will get a career ending injury in his first appearance and we will all spend the rest of our lives bemoaning what could have been.
I think Acun has learned his lesson. He'll leave it to Jared Dublin.

It was pointed out to her that for 104 years we never got a sniff at Wembley and that this might be the last time ever he and I could go together for such an occasion.

bournemouth and brentford have done a good job of taking up long-term tier one residence. hoping we can do the same, perhaps following their plan(s). feel sorry for some of yesterday's team that won't get their p.l. moments.
Windass was our star striker going up in 2007-2008. He hardly got a look in the next season. Some of the team did well though.

Both of them prefer to cut inside rather than do a Giles.
Coyle does whatever is needed.
They both need to be trained and told to vary their delivery with each foot. Bowen used to be very one-footed but became even more dangerous when he started to use both. That was the beauty of Yu’s cross. He toyed with them with his right, then delivered with his left. I’d really like to see us try to sign him. Wouldn’t cost a huge amount and he’s already proved his worth and could probs do the same in the Prem too.

We went as a family. Me, wife and stepson drove down and met up with my son at Wembley park. Couldn't get seats together but we were within close proximity. It ended up with wife and stepson together and me and my lad together. They have been to 3 play off finals and the FA cup. My son got very emotional and couldn't believe he had seen us win 3 play off finals. Lovely to share that moment with him. The celebrations at the end were the best yet. What a great day. Caravan of love always makes me emotional.

Looking back I'm pleased I prevented my lad from becoming a Leicester City supporter, pleased I converted my stepson from Arsenal, Thierry Henry era. Geovanni helped with that one . Thanks Geo :emoticon-0148-yes:. My wifes first game was the last game of the season away at Bradford City. Not even sure of the year. She was hooked from the off.

We have had some great times and not so good together but I am pleased to report we are part of

THE TIGER NATION.
