I can remember away fixtures at Cambridge,Colchester, Northampton, Rushden and Diamonds, Orient (famous 4-5 victory) and many others.........
You were lucky.........I can recall going to Milton Keynes hockey stadium on a freezing cold February night. When I got home at 3am me dad would beat me to within an inch of my life, then make me sleep in the coal house.

Was anyone in the second tier got accosted by that absolute jobsworth steward in the high vis for standing up? <laugh>

He was one of the biggest ****s I’ve ever come across.

I did. Had lovely teeth. I got a close up as the lad next to me wasn’t keen on sitting after big jobsworth announced it was OK to stand at the exciting bits. The lad had the view it was all exciting.

After he left a very short conversation with the younger, more professional, steward confirmed they thought he was a ****er too.

Bad teeth jobsworth was last seen 6 or so blocks to our right doing the same.

As well as everything else that's brilliant about this, I'm so pleased and proud for players like Coyle and Slater who can say they've done this now. They've been repeatedly hammered over the years, told they're not good enough, the line "if we're serious about getting promoted we need better than Coyle/Slater" has always been popular. But they've done it and no one can take it away. They are in that bracket now with Dawson and Ashbee, far exceeding what anyone thought possible for them, achieving multiple promotions and along the way seeing off many theoretically more talented players who were expected to take their places.

And this is what Hull City legends do; it's rarely the flair players that achieve greatness with us, it's usually these hardworking, doubter-defying types. It fits with what we are as a City. Always overlooked, downtrodden and underestimated, often proving people wrong.

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned but 6 of the team yesterday started against Portsmouth last day of last season. That’s some turnaround for them & shows with the right support, management & coaching they are more than capable.

Great post.

What happened yesterday was beyond phenomenal given the set of circumstance's we’ve had to address this season . I can only personally thank everyone connected to the club for giving supporters in the City and far beyond a sense of pride back we’ve not had for some time and suggest to those lucky enough to witness said events to savour what unfolded in those final minutes, and perhaps should you get the chance , tell your kids and grandkids that you where there too witness the ensuing madness that erupted on the day our great club once again defied all the odds and dared to dream once again.

UTFT.

Slater and Coyle aren’t the same. Ones become excellent the other is a glaring weakness that should be first replaced by some 10m hotshot from France or something. Even Slater as good as he is struggles to control games at Champ level. Big upgrade needed next season in many areas for me.
We should give the players their chance in the Prem let the players we don’t need that are already out on loans or returned go and just bring in a few to strengthen the team.

Upgrade the academy and training facilities, if we come back down we still have a strong team of players that won’t want to leave and parachute payments, also we then have better facilities to.

I had a blast in Boxpark.

My missus (gf) had a great time. A few of the teenage lads said how lovely it was to see us dancing together after the game. I was so happy.

The face paint job I had got a few good compliments too. I was challenged by my GF to get it!
A 69 year old fat bloke wearing a football shirt (now people might know why I hate piss take bullying of overweight blokes like me) dancing with his girlfriend on a sticky beer soaked dance floor, probably will end up on some ****s social media to take the piss, but what the ****.

Acun showed other football owners how to promote your club.

We will have a queue of investors lined up from Turkey, they saw just what exposure they can get globally from being associated with Hull City. Not on the pitch but the way that we all are as a group, owner, club, players and supporters. All as one.

Love it.
That is brilliant you had a great time and enjoyed it like you did it’s only fun.

Ye, I mean it's just not going to happen is it.

Acun will end up bringing Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos out of retirement who will play three minutes a game each, we'll beat arsenal at the Emirates, sign some nutter from the Turkish League who will become a cult player and then spunk millions on a young fringe England player, who will get a career ending injury in his first appearance and we will all spend the rest of our lives bemoaning what could have been.

bournemouth and brentford have done a good job of taking up long-term tier one residence. hoping we can do the same, perhaps following their plan(s). feel sorry for some of yesterday's team that won't get their p.l. moments.

Just got home, still can’t believe we are in the premier league , done about 11 hours driving and had about 2 hours sleep - not through partying but because we where in a premier inn family room with no air con and it was like trying to sleep on the sun , celebrated today by stopping off at Cadbury’s world in Brum , random .
First time I’ve watched a game at Wembley sober and it was a tough watch at times , can’t be easy for the players in that heat though, important thing is we got the job done and not worth over analizing , for me 2008 will never be beaten from a fan perspective but yesterday was miles better then 2016 .
My son was a bit overwhelmed by it all when we got there and I thought I’d made a mistake at first, but soon settled when we got to our seats and I’ll never forget how happy my son and daughter both where when we scored and then with all the celebrations at the whistle , that’s why I took them, they might not remember much about it in years to come, but I still will remember .
Boro fans on way out where very friendly and went out their way to shake hands and congratulate, so was surprised to read about team bus this morning . Can’t be bothered to think about plans for next season, how we will spend the money, that can be for another day , first need to wave at the bus tomorrow and watch Mcburnies goal on repeat a few more times .
