Maybe we should follow the lead of Man Utd and Chelsea and hire someone who played for us in the 2000s

Robbie Keane's available...

Tainio.

Brings Maximus into the first team.
Makes him captain.
Scores winning goal in Champions League final against Arsenal and then copies what his Dad done vs Drogba by going up to Aubameyang and saying "look at the score!".

Ok so it's slightly exaggerated and unrealistic... As if Arsenal are getting to a CL final any time soon.

I wonder if Chris Hughton might be willing to fill in for a bit, assuming we've got nobody lined up?

If we genuinely don't have anyone lined up then Levy really is a ****ing idiot.

I've made no secret that I think Poch had run his course but if we've sacked him without any clear replacement then this has to be up there with one of the dumbest decisions going.

We have no senior figures at the club to be a caretaker for a game like we did in the past with Pleat/ Allen/ Hughton etc. Mason might literally have to be in the dugout on Saturday if we've not got anyone sorted by then. The guy's younger than half the squad!

Well, it's happened.

Regardless of what side of the fence you were on there can be no doubt that the breaking news of Poch leaving has hit your heart.

Poch gave us, especially some of the younger generation like myself (hey, I'm still claiming to be young, even if I do turn 30 in 11 days) some of our best moments as a fan and I'll treasure them for as long as I can remember.

It's now a huge decision for this football club, to sack the man that many fans feel is arguably amongst our top three or four managers in history means that whoever his replacement is has to be someone brilliant because anything else would be a huge step backwards and even the staunchest of Levy fans would likely turn. I myself have generally been "pro-Levy" despite some gripes but I'll now firmly say if he ****s up the next appointment and/ or we get the impression the new manager isn't being sufficiently backed, then I'll happily take a ticket onto the Levy Out train.

So... Who do you want as Poch's replacement? (will do a poll of names that've been linked or could be linked)

I’m gutted. Also, what an evening to go to the pub and have no data.

Also you’re nearly 30? ****ing hell you’re old mate <whistle>

One thing we should not do is jump on the Hot New Manager Hype Train like we did with Ramos, because while we cannot remember the football we can remember how that went

For example the Reddit/Twitter crowd are starting to climb aboard the Marco Rose Hype Train due to A German Team topping the Bundesliga after 11 games and the fact he played for Norbert at Mainz, having previously jumped on the Julian Nagelsmann Hype Train due to the Reddit/Twitter crowd listing Taurine FC Leipzig's scrotal sack as a place to forward their mail

Seems it’s Jose - thoughts on having him at your club, is he no longer a **** etc

Not much of a surprise, if this is the case.
